Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 has the perfect opportunity to improve on the one complaint that fans have with Daredevil: Born Again Season 1. Season 1 of the show featured the return of some exceptional villains opposite Matt Murdock's Daredevil. From the much-anticipated Muse and Bullseye to Kingpin, Disney's Daredevil has not held back when it comes to iconic villain revivals.
However, the one main complaint that fans have had with Disney's Daredevil is that they could have used their villains better. One fan on Reddit talked about Muse's disappointing arc, saying:
"Muse was a weak villain in general tbh, they really needed to just scrap that storyline. Or give him a better backstory than "I hated Taekwondo as a kid and then murdered my teacher", bc if that's all his fighting experience he shouodnt be able to fight Matt for more than 10 seconds. He'd maybe have been effective as someone who works from the shadows very well, maybe can hide his heartbeat and other ninja shit like Nobu had so Matt can't track him as easy. He never seemed threatening whatsoever"
Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 has the chance to avoid repeating its predecessor's mistakes with another character who is introduced as a "villain" in Season 1, and portray his redemption in Daredevil: Born Again Season 2.
Sergeant Cole North's Redemption in Daredevil: Born Again Season 2

Jeremy Isiah Earl made his MCU debut as Sergeant Cole North in Disney's Daredevil: Born Again. He was introduced in Season 1, Episode 6 as one of the NYPD officers whom Fisk recruited to his Anti-Vigilante Task Force. It was revealed that Cole's extremist nature, and his extreme idolization of Frank Castle's Punisher is what made him attractive to Fisk for his Task Force, much like the other NYPD officers who were added.
It was revealed later that it was Sergeant Cole North who had killed Hector Ayala, the White Tiger, after his acquittal in court. Earl's debut in the MCU is similar to the way his character debuted in the Marvel Comics. However, in Marvel Comics, Cole North started as a staunch antagonist to Daredevil and Punisher, vehemently against vigilantes, but his allegiances changed after a conversation with Spider-Man.

The last time we saw Sergeant North was in Matt's house, after his fight against Daredevil and Punisher. Daredevil went to great lengths to stop Castle's Punisher from killing North, so there is a big chance that steps were taken to protect North before Matt's apartment was blown up.
If this is the case, then we might see Sergeant Cole North in Daredevil: Born Again Season 2, and we might even get to see his redemption journey in the MCU, much like his character's journey in the Marvel Comics. If an important member of Wilson Fisk's Anti-Vigilante Task Force becomes corrupt and has a change of heart and allegiance after his redemption, it will give Murdock's Daredevil a great ally.

Murdock's Daredevil could receive key information about Fisk's Task Force in Daredevil: Born Again Season 2, his criminal activities, as well as information about the Red Hook facility. Jeremy Isaiah Earl's Cole North could grow to be a key part of Daredevil's fight against Mayor Wilson Fisk.
Cole North is Daredevil: Born Again Season 2's chance at redeeming a villain and turning him into a great ally for Matt Murdock's Daredevil. Only time will tell if Daredevil: Born Again Season 2's cast will have a place for Sergeant North.
