What happened so far in Daredevil: Born Again Season 1?

The series began with a surprising twist as Benjamin "Dex" Poindexter attacked Matt Murdock and his friends and killed Foggy Nelson. Matt then gave up being a vigilante and started working as a lawyer with former district attorney Kirsten McDuffie.

On the other hand, Karen Page moved to San Francisco and Dex was sent to prison. Kirsten introduced Murdock to therapist Heather Glenn, and they started going out on dates. Meanwhile, Wilson Fisk, with his wife Vanessa’s support, ran for mayor on an anti-vigilante campaign.

Matt then took on the case of Hector Ayala, who was accused of killing an undercover police officer, Shanahan. With Cherry’s help, Matt discovered that Ayala was actually the vigilante White Tiger, who had been fighting crime in Daredevil’s absence.

He then tracked down informant Nicky Torres and helped him escape from corrupt officers who wanted to silence him. In the third episode, Hector Ayala’s trial went on while Matt worked hard to prove his innocence. Torres, who was supposed to testify in support of Ayala, got scared seeing a courtroom filled with officers and lied on the stand.

With no other option, Matt revealed that Ayala was White Tiger and tried to use his heroism to sway the jury. The move worked as Ayala was found not guilty. However, Fisk was furious with the development and used the media to turn the public against Ayala.

Ayala then ignored Matt’s warning and put on his White Tiger suit to fight crime as a vigilante again. But before he could do much, someone wearing a bulletproof vest with a Punisher logo shot him. While Frank Castle could become a suspect in the murder case, it is possible that someone was trying to frame him.
