Heather Glenn is one of the new characters that Daredevil: Born Again introduced to the revival of the original Netflix show. Played by actress Margarita Levieva, sparks fly between Heather and Matt from the moment they first meet. In the show, she is revealed to be a respected therapist who is also the marriage counselor of Vanessa and Wilson Fisk.
While Born Again introduces Heather as a therapist, the comics tell a different story altogether. Created by William Robert Brown and Marv Wolfman, Heather appeared in the Daredevil comics in the mid-'70s. However, unlike Daredevil: Born Again, Heather in the comics is a rich heiress who has storyline is a bit too dark that the show has not hinted at yet.

Who is Daredevil: Born Again's Heather Glenn in the pages of Marvel Comics?
We meet Heather Glenn for the first time in the pages of Daredevil #126, published in July 1975. In her first appearance, Heather barges into Matt's new apartment, believing that her ex-boyfriend "Freddy" still lives there. However, over time, she and Matt grow a little closer as she still has the spare key and begins to flirt with him. Afterwards, she also becomes their secretary, but the two soon learn that Heather is a rich hieress.
Matt and Foggy are shocked to learn that Heather's father is none other than the CEO of Glenn Industries, Maxwell Glenn. Things take a turn when Maxwell Glenn falls under the Purple Man/Zebediah Killgrave's mind control. After that happens, Maxwell starts committing numerous crimes. Daredevil foils one such crime and has Maxwell arrested.
However, Matt soon learns about Maxwell being under mind control and tries his best to prove his innocence. However, Maxwell commits suicide in his cell out of guilt. As Heather is mourning, she also discovers that Matt and Daredevil are the same. An angered Heather breaks up with Matt, holding him responsible for her father's death. After that, she inherits Maxwell's empire, and Matt is dating the Black Widow casually.
In an issue, Doc Ock abducts Heather, and Matt goes to her rescue. This softens her on Daredevil, and they rekindle their relationship. Their relationship grows enough for Matt to propose to Heather, but she refuses him. She tells Matt about a faction of the company trying to oust her and asks for the former's help. Matt on the other hand, tries convincing Heather to completely shut down the company and marry him.
In a bid to put an end to this toxic situation, Foggy and Black Widow write break-up notes to the other under the guise of Matt and Heather, respectively. This plan works way too well, and a depressed Heather begins drinking heavily. Heather's last appearance in the comics is in Daredevil #220, where The Man Without Fear goes to visit Heather.
He comes across a hungover Heather. He manages to wake her up and they begin a conversation, but Matt soon hears a crime in progress nearby. Matt leaves to stop the crime with the intention to return and continue the conversation, but she believes that Matt left for good. Thus, Heather decides to take her own life.
With this one and the next few issues, Denny O'Neil, Frank Miller, and David Mazzucchelli highlight the heartbreaking consequences of Matt's emotionally abusive actions. Despite it being comics where death isn't permanent, Heather hasn't appeared in the comics ever since her last appearance in Daredevil #220.
Will Heather in Daredevil: Born Again meet her comic book counterpart's fate?
It must be noted that Heather Glenn's storyline in the comics is a bit dated. It feels like she has very few interests outside Matt Murdock. Furthermore, her tragic end is indicative of the sexism prevalent in the comic book industry of that time. Thus, the people working on Daredevil: Born Again could've made some changes to the character to suit the sensibilities of the modern audience.
