Daredevil: Born Again does not hold back from showcasing Kingpin's power. In multiple instances, we witness Kingpin, portrayed by Vincent D'Onofrio, crushing his opponents using his physical strength. It calls into question whether MCU's Kingpin is actually stronger compared to the Kingpin in Marvel Comics. Vincent D'Onofrio originally played the role of Kingpin in Netflix's Daredevil and then reprised his character in Disney's Daredevil: Born Again Season 1.

The season finale of Daredevil: Born Again established Kingpin's power as well as Mayor Fisk's. Mayor Wilson Fisk took control of New York City by declaring all vigilante activity illegal, declaring a curfew, and finally, imposing martial law on the city. Kingpin, on the other hand, is seen taking control by literally crushing anybody who stands in his way, including the likes of Commissioner Gallo. The season finale witnessed Kingpin using his bare hands to crush Gallo's head, bringing up questions about the brute's strength.

Is the MCU's Kingpin stronger than the Marvel Comics? Here's what we know.

To understand the difference between the strength of Kinpin in the MCU and Marvel Comics, it is essential to understand his strength in the comics. The Kingpin in Marvel Comics is described as a human with strength greater than a usual human. Most of his

Growing up, Fisk is of the belief that physical strength is an important factor in his control over the underbelly of New York, so he builds up as much strength as he can. Most of Kingpin's bulk is muscle and not mass, and his enormous size can be compared to that of a sumo wrestler. Kingpin's strength is listed as a three out of six per the Marvel Comics website, whereas his fighting skills are a five out of six. Kingpin is trained in various forms of hand-to-hand combat.

Kingpin appears to be on the same strength level as Captain America and Matt Murdock, aka Daredevil (also a 3/6). Steve Rogers has been enhanced with the help of the super soldier serum, so he is at peak human physical strength, meaning Kingpin is the same. Kingpin is as strong as a human being physically can be without any superpowers. This strength allows him to go face-to-face with some of the strongest Marvel heroes like Spider-Man and Daredevil in the comics.

Kingpin in the Marvel Cinematic Universe is portrayed with a similar strength level as that of the comic version. Kingpin's introduction into the MCU was in the 2015 Netflix series Daredevil. Vincent D'Onofrio portrayed Kingpin in the Netflix series, although Kingpin was displayed slightly weaker in the show compared to Disney, mostly due to budgetary reasons. However, Netflix portrayed Kingpin as stronger than Daredevil on multiple occasions, when he was shown being thrown around easily by Kingpin.

Disney's Daredevil: Born Again does not hold back from showcasing the Kingpin's strength. We see it for the first time when Fisk is fighting Adam, but the true portrayal of his strength comes when Fisk crushes police commissioner Gallo's head with his bare hands in the final episode. Gallo's murder is a greater representation of Kingpin's strength than any other appearance in the MCU.

Kingpin also appears in Hawkeye, and this portrayal does justice to the comic-like strength. Fisk is shown tossing Kate Wilson around, much as he did Matt. He's also seen surviving arrow explosions, being hit by a car, and being shot in the face by Maya Lopez. It is shown that Kingpin's face-off with his adopted daughter Maya leaves him broken and bewildered, and he vanishes to recuperate in isolation.

Nevertheless, Kingpin's strength in the MCU is portrayed at the same level as his Marvel Comics counterpart. So far, MCU's Kingpin does not appear to have any superpower, using his power to manipulate others, and his physical strength to establish his control.
