Daredevil: Born Again follows the story of Matt Murdock, a vigilante and a blind lawyer with superhuman abilities. Against him is Wilson Fisk, who becomes the Mayor of New York City, gaining more political power and control in the region.
The trailer of the Daredevil revival series showcases Matt and Fisk talking to each other alongside glimpses of Matt fighting using his superhuman capabilities and Fisk addressing the crowd as a Mayor. Indeed, both are set to collide to unfurl the drama for its fans.
The makers of the show wanted to use real locations for the filming rather than sets or studios; therefore, most of the shooting was done in New York City and Yonkers. Let's explore in detail the shooting locations of Daredevil: Born Again.
Daredevil: Born Again filming locations, explored
After production began in New York State in March 2023, it stopped because of the strike by the writers' guild and didn't pick up till June. Finally, in January 2024, the crew again resumed the filming, and within 3 months, they were able to wrap it successfully.
The original Daredevil show depicts the iconic home of Daredevil, aka Matt Murdock, shot in Hell's Kitchen, a neighborhood in New York. But the real estate developments have changed the original Hell's Kitchen immensely, leading the crew to transform a neighborhood of Harlem into the fictional Hell's Kitchen where Daredevil primarily operates. The location added the same gritty and crime-ridden environment that was required in the film world.
The location was modified through similar storefronts and signage we see across the neighborhood to match the aesthetics of the original Hell's Kitchen. In addition to this, vintage cars from around 1970 were added to the mise-en-scène.
Here are some more locations that found some screentime on Daredevil: Born Again

Williamsburg neighborhood was another location situated in Brooklyn, New York City. Even this location is picked up to establish a sense of space similar to that of the other 3 seasons.
The production team recreated rooms of Gracie Mansion at Silver Cup Studio. Various other interior shots were planned there, as shooting inside the studio offered more control to the makers along with other services like mill shops, production offices, green rooms, and parking spaces, which are difficult in real locations.
Yonker City, situated in the north of Bronx, was also utilized as a stand-in for various government locations. The scenes where Fisk can be seen addressing the masses against huge government buildings and him getting elected as mayor and working as one are shot in Yonkers. Brooklyn was also the space for various action scenes of Matt Murdock.

David and Dinkins Municipal Building was another site that one can witness in the show from the neighborhood of Manhattan. Another obvious location is New York's Supreme Court, given that the protagonist is a lawyer.
Therefore, with meticulous planning and production, the show has achieved the visual design it wanted, and we see a world animating out of the superhero comic book shot in a mix of real and studio spaces.
Catch Daredevil: Born Again on March 4, 2025, on Disney Plus, with Charlie Cox reprising his role and Matt Mudrock and Vincent D’Onofrio as Wilson Fisk/Kingpin.
