Daredevil: Born Again Episode 3 just dropped. The intensity of the show has increased with some major deaths in the show's first few episodes.

We see that Mayor Fisk is dead serious about wiping vigilantes off the streets. He doesn’t just want them gone; he wants people to stop relying on them altogether. He wants them to trust in the police force. The catch is that Fisk probably has a pact with the corrupt cops.

So his version of “law and order” is not really going to be just. It is now becoming even clearer that he has much more planned.

Daredevil: Born Again also has several subtle and significant clues that foreshadow upcoming events. Be it the appearance of the Punisher's symbol throughout the episode or even clues that Matt Murdock might actually reveal his secret identity.

Daredevil: Born Again - Fisk’s master plan

Now that Wilson Fisk, aka the Kingpin, is officially the mayor, he’s not just going after vigilantes. He’s making sure that everyday people start seeing them as criminals rather than heroes. And Episode 3 proves he’s not messing around.

Matt Murdock reveals Ayala's secret identity in court. The jury then sympathizes with Hector, and after Matt’s powerful closing statement, he walks out a free man. But as we all know, freedom comes at a cost.

By exposing his identity, Hector became an easy target. That night, as he suited up as White Tiger once more, he was gunned down. He was shot in the head by someone wearing a Punisher-logoed outfit.

This is exactly the kind of narrative Fisk wants. He’s slowly turning public opinion against vigilantes. He is spreading the idea that they’re not protectors but actually cowards who hide behind masks.

After knowing this, Matt might have no choice but to team up with the other vigilantes and take down Fisk.

Daredevil: Born Again - Major clues that hint at Matt revealing he is Daredevil

By the end of Episode 3, Fisk makes his next strategic move; controlling the narrative through the media. He calls BB Urich and gives her an interview. He paints vigilantes as criminals in disguise.

He specifically points to Hector Ayala, saying that even though he killed a cop he’s now walking free just because he’s a vigilante.

He mocks vigilantes for hiding behind masks and questioning how they can be trusted to protect the city. This could be exactly what pushes Matt Murdock to reveal his own identity as Daredevil.

If Fisk is using the mask argument to turn the public against vigilantes, Matt might feel that taking off his own could be the only way to counter it.

Another major hint in Daredevil: Born Again is the moment Matt realizes his case is falling apart. His main witness, Nicky Torres, the man Hector Ayala saved from corrupt cops, completely flips on the stand.

Instead of confirming that he was present at the station that night, he lies and says that he was at home the whole time. Matt is left with only one option; revealing Hector Ayala’s secret identity as White Tiger.

Matt tells the courtroom that Hector Ayala has risked his life for the people of the city. If he really wanted to kill a cop, why would he do it without his mask and amulet?

It seems as if Matt is trying to make people realize that vigilantes are not the real enemy. It’s almost like he wants the truth to be out. It seems like he’s done hiding.

It is not the first time we’ve seen Matt become indifferent to being seen in Daredevil: Born Again. When Cherry spotted him on the rooftop at the beginning of the show, he didn’t seem to care.

So all of this could suggest that Matt Murdock might be closer to revealing his own secret identity.
