As the series’ pilot, the episode will once again introduce the audience to Matt Murdock, who has stopped his vigilante activities in New York City. However, being a lawyer, he still seeks justice for people.

Meanwhile, the episode might also explore what happened with Matt in the last few years after he decided to open a new law firm with Foggy and Karen. On the other hand, Wilson Fisk has also left his criminal past behind and has joined politics. He is running for the position of NYC’s mayor.

However, when Matt and Wilson cross paths again, their past comes out, which sends both down a spiral again. The official logline for the episode reads:

“Longtime rivals Matt Murdock and Wilson Fisk attempt to move past their darker personas to serve New York, but their pasts resurface, reintroducing the world of Daredevil.”

Showrunner Dario Scardapane has written the script for the first episode, and it has been directed by Aaron Moorhead & Justin Benson. The show stars Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock and Vincent D'Onofrio as Wilson Fisk.

The cast also includes Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page, Margarita Levieva as Heather Glenn, Wilson Bethel as Benjamin "Dex" Poindexter, Elden Henson as Franklin "Foggy" Nelson, Michael Gandolfini as Daniel Blake, Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle, Ayelet Zurer as Vanessa Marianna-Fisk, and Nikki M. James as Kirsten McDuffie.
