Daredevil: Born Again is just one episode away from wrapping up its first season. Looking back, it has been quite a ride.

It all started with Matt Murdock hanging up the suit. He walked away from Daredevil after the loss of his best friend, Foggy Nelson. But Matt can never stay away for long. We saw him torn between who he wants to be and who he needs to be, across the episodes. But the Devil had to rise again in the end.

Wilson Fisk is back and more powerful than ever. He is the mayor now. So he’s got legal power too. Vanessa has got her own game running in the shadows. Muse made his terrifying mark and exited just as fast. And Matt literally took a bullet for Fisk in the latest twist during that lavish ball thrown by the Fisks.

We might get our answers in the finale. But Season 2 is already filming even before Season 1 wraps. And according to executive producer Sana Amanat, it's going all in. She shared some exciting details with Marvel.com, and there's a lot to take in, Daredevil: Born Again Season 2. So let’s get right in.

Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 is bringing the heat

You’ve probably seen all the behind-the-scenes clips and set photos floating around from Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 by now. The filming is in full swing, and it’s going to be pretty exciting.

You’re not alone if you felt like Season 1 was a little light on action (especially in the first half). Most of the early episodes focused on Matt Murdock grieving the loss of Foggy and trying to keep Daredevil buried. Fisk was slowly sliding into his role as New York City's mayor. So it was more buildup than beatdowns.

But executive producer Sana Amanat is here to tease exactly what fans have been waiting for. She spoke to Marvel.com and gave a peek into what’s going down on set right now:

“It’s been great. We’ve been shooting a lot of crazy sequences. The crew is crushing it, and the action is nonstop. The backdrop is a little different. It’s still New York, but it’s a slightly different kind of New York. I’m very excited about the material we’ve been getting. I’ve been fangirling all week. We shot a really big sequence with Wilson Fisk this week, and I felt like a kid in a candy shop.”

She also shared something about the end of Daredevil: Born Again Season 1:

"The last two episodes for us were really about serving the fans and ourselves. There are some fun sequences that you are going to see, especially in the last episode."

So, hang tight as Daredevil: Born Again Season 1’s finale arrives soon!

Daredevil: Born Again - Behind the scenes of Episode 8

Executive producer Sana Amanat also pulled back the curtain on one of the most talked-about moments from Episode 8.

The grand inaugural ball looked like a glamorous evening with fancy outfits and dramatic lighting. But that sequence had far more meaning than what met the eye.

Amanat recalled the moment when Daredevil: Born Again showrunners Dario Scardapane and Jesse Harris pitched the concept to her:

"I remember when Dario and Jesse were telling me how they wanted to crack the episode. Dario was like, “Two words: ballroom dance.” And I was like, “I’m in.” The show is so operatic in so many ways, and this sequence felt like an amazing culmination. There’s some important revelations that happen in this episode, and it was important to have a showdown for these two characters. They’ve been having this truce that, unfortunately, was probably meant to be broken.
We were in that location for about five days, and we were losing our minds by the end. It was definitely a dance — a literal dance, but also a figurative dance in terms of all the drama that was playing on the dance floor, with the reveals happening behind the scenes and Kingpin being Kingpin. It was super fun and super tricky, and I am so grateful that we were able to pull it off."

But that’s not all. Amanat also teased what’s coming up in the finale episode and dropped a little hint for Daredevil: Born Again fans. When asked if there were any Easter eggs viewers might have missed, she said:

"I feel like people have been catching everything for the most part! I obviously loved the Ms. Marvel reference, of course. And all of the Bullseye nods, like the tooth. I will say there’s a very cool moment at the top of Episode 9. All I’m going to say is that it has to do with Bullseye, and it’s a little wink that our directors Justin and Aaron did. And I love them for it."

Looks like the finale is going to have some surprises.
