The highly anticipated dance show, Dancing With the Stars season 33 is set to premiere on September 17, 2024, on ABC and Disney+. Episodes can be streamed on Hulu a day after they are aired.
The popular dance reality show features celebrity contestants coupled with professional dancers who will be competing for the prestigious Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy.
The show will be hosted by Alfonso Ribeiro and Julianne Hough. It will also feature Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli, and Derek Hough as returning judges.
An ABC release defined the show as:
"Dancing with the Stars is the hit series in which celebrities are paired with trained ballroom dancers to compete in themed choreographed dance routines that are judged by a panel of renowned ballroom experts, including Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli and Derek Hough."

Fans can live stream the show on the Disney+ website and mobile app. The streaming platform’s subscription plans start at $7.99 monthly. Hulu also offers various subscription plans starting at $7.99 a month.
Although ABC is yet to reveal the full list of contestants, it has generally made the announcements on Good Morning America two weeks before the premiere in seasons gone by.
Recently, ABC announced the first celebrity cast of the show in the form of Olympic medalist Stephen Nedoroscik during his recent appearance on Good Morning America on Thursday, August 22, 2024:
"From Paris to #DWTS! We’re thrilled to welcome pommel horse legend @stephen_nedoroscik as the first star of the season."
Nedoroscik won two bronze medals in the recently concluded Paris Olympics 2024.
Judges and hosts: Dancing With the Stars season 33
Alfonso Ribeiro and Julianne Hough will resume duties once again. Fans might know Riberio from the hit show, Fresh Prince Bel-Air, and as the winner of Dancing with the Stars season 19. Julianne is also a two-time winner of the show and has appeared as a judge for America’s Got Talent season 14.
The show was earlier hosted by the late Len Goodman, who passed away in 2023. Around the same time, Tyra Banks, a former runway model, also left the show.

Dancing with the Stars season 33 will premiere on Tuesday, September 17, 2024 at 8 pm ET. Fans can enjoy the show on ABC and Disney+. As for Hulu, the premiere will be available September 18, 2024 onwards.
