Amazon Prime Video's Cross concluded its first Season on November 14, 2024. The series received decent reviews from critics and was popular among fans—thanks to its source material, James Patterson's novels of the same name.
The show is based on Alex Cross (Aldis Hodge), who uses his forensic psychology to investigate and study the minds of people. This helps him to study the victim's psyche, identify the killer, and bring them to justice.
Alex is accompanied on these adventures by his best friend and trusted partner, John Sampson (Isaiah Mustafa).
While most fans are waiting for news about Cross Season 2, the show was announced for a second season even before its premiere. According to interviews with the show's cast, they have also wrapped the shooting for Season 2.
The show also stars Alona Tal (SEAL Team), Samantha Walkes (The Changeling), Ryan Eggold (The Blacklist), and Eloise Mumford (50 Shades of Grey).

How did Cross Season 1 end?
The finale of Season 1 saw Alex neutralizing looming threats, both in his personal as well as professional life.
The final episode saw Alex get ahead of Ed Ramsey in time to save Shannon from becoming another victim. He also partnered up with John to stop Miss Nancy, who had been threatening his family.
Alex seems to be having a peaceful life with his girlfriend Elle, for now, but Season 2 is expected to bring more dangers, thus threatening his personal life.
Filming wrapped for Cross Season 2. What is next for Alex on the show?
In an interview with Collider, actors Hodge and Mustafa revealed some details about the show's next season. While there is no release date as of yet, the stars confirmed that they wrapped filming for Season 2 in August 2024.
Season 2 will explore each character in more depth, and our perspectives about each character from Season 1 will change drastically. Expect deeper emotional investment from from a viewer's perspective in Season 2.
“There’s something about the mystery in Season 2 that touched me on a very personal level...you double down on the emotional investment from the mystery of Season 1, which is still as a woman you’re invested in it. And that goes even further in Season 2,” Alona Tal
Also, expect more brotherhood from Alex and John in Season 2 as they return to solve more crimes. Their chemistry was praised in Season 1, and fans will see their favorite duo get back for another adventure.
