Aldis Hodge plays the lead role of Alex Cross, a Washington, D.C. Metro detective and forensic psychologist. He has a doctorate in psychology and is obsessed with getting into the minds of criminals to understand their psyche.
Meanwhile, he has been facing psychological problems himself since his wife, Maria, was murdered a year ago. Alex avoids therapy and has temperamental issues. His life changes drastically when he gets involved in the murder case of a community member.
Hodge is known for starring in shows like Leverage and Girlfriends. He was seen playing Hawkman in the superhero film Black Adam alongside Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, and MC Ren in the biographical film Straight Outta Compton.
2) Isaiah Mustafa as Detective John Sampson
Isaiah Mustafa stars as Detective John Sampson, Alex’s childhood best friend and longtime partner on the force. Also known as ‘Two-John,’ he is charming and popular among the ladies.
John is loyal to Alex but is not afraid to call him out for neglecting his mental health after Maria’s death. He acts as a protective uncle to Alex’s kids and is willing to sacrifice anything for their family.

3) Juanita Jennings as Regina Cross
Juanita Jennings portrays Regina Cross, lovingly called Nana Mama by her family. She is Alex's strong and caring grandmother who raised him after his parents' deaths. Now living with Alex in Washington, she helps in taking care of his two children, Damon and Jannie, following Maria’s murder.
Nana Mama is wise and steadfast and helps Alex stay grounded during tough moments with her guidance and support. Jennings is a veteran actress who has been seen in several films and shows including Suits, David Makes Man, Shameless, Basic Instinct, and What Women Want.
4) Ryan Eggold as Ed Ramsey

Eloise Mumford plays Shannon Witmer, a smart and determined woman who dreams of becoming an art curator. She meets Ed Ramsey online and is drawn to his charm. But when she realizes he is not what he seems, Shannon finds the strength to fight for her life.

10) Melody Hurd as Janelle Cross
