The nominations for Critics Choice Awards 2025 were announced on December 12, 2024, at The Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, reflecting the diverse kinds of categories that tell the tapestry of storytelling currently capturing audiences all over the world.
From blockbusters and critically acclaimed indie gems and the best of stand-out series on television that has kept many glued to their seats throughout, the Critics Choice Awards 2025 showcase the height of excellence in cinematic and television production.
The eligibility criteria for Critics Choice Awards 2025 are films and television shows released between January 1 and December 31 of the previous year. The award ceremony honors multifaceted talents who bring stories to life, ranging from Best Picture to Best Actor and Actress, Best Director, and genre-specific awards.
Also included in television nominations are awards for Best Drama Series and Best Comedy Series and outstanding performances that touch the hearts of viewers and critics. The live broadcast of Critics Choice Awards 2025 will air on E! on January 12, 2025, from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM ET, with a one-hour red carpet pre-show beginning at 6:00 PM ET.
Peacock will have Critics Choice Awards 2025 available the next day for anyone who misses the live broadcast. For the third year in a row, Chelsea Handler will host the event, which promises to be a night to remember in honoring the best in film and television.
List of nominees for 30th Critics Choice Awards 2025
The Critics Choice Association has announced the film nominees for the Critics Choice Awards 2025. Conclave and Wicked, which have 11 nominations this year, including Best Picture, are the top two films. Seven nods each were received by Anora and The Substance, nine by The Brutalist, and ten by Emilia Pérez and Dune: Part Two.
In addition to competing against Nickel Boys, Sing Sing, and triple candidate A Complete Unknown, all seven of those films are nominated for Best Picture. Shogun received a leading six nominations in the TV categories when the Critics Choice Association released its nominees last week.
