More about references and cameos in Creature Commandos season 1 episode 7
Creature Commandos season 1, episode 7, titled "A Very Funny Monster," is packed with fascinating Easter eggs, connections to the larger DC Universe, and even a tribute to Marvel. One amusing moment occurs when the Bride refers to Doctor Phosphorus as "Ghost Rider."
This is a subtle nod to Marvel's skeleton, fiery antihero, creating a fun crossover between the two comic realms. It's a humorous approach to acknowledge the larger comic universe while maintaining the show's playful tone.

Nina is adopted by her father, Myron, who changes her into the amphibious figure in the original comics.
The show also pays homage to renowned DC locations such as Star City (home of Green Arrow), Blüdhaven (Nightwing's city), and Metropolis (home of Superman). These references assist to enhance the world of Creature Commandos and hint to the prospect of seeing these people or locales in future episodes, connecting the program to the greater DC Universe.
In the episode, Task Force M also gains new recruits. Nosferata, a vampire with a lengthy comic book history, is added, giving a supernatural element to the team.
