Creature Commandos season 1, episode 5 is slated to air on Thursday, December 26, 2024. The upcoming episode will exclusively air on Max at 3 AM ET/midnight PT. In the upcoming episode, it is expected that Frankenstein will be able to recover his health, following which he shall buddy up with Flag to foil Circe's visions about the princess.
Creature Commandos comes from DC co-CEO and showrunner James Gunn, who has also created the show. It is a new morning at DC, with the kickstarting of the much-awaited DCU and its first chapter, titled Gods and Monsters. Creature Commandos consists of an impressive voice cast, including Viola Davis, Anya Chalotra, Alan Tudyk, David Harbour, and Frank Grillo.
The fourth episode of Creature Commandos saw the rag-tag misfits returning from the manor to respond to Circe's disposition of bringing them in harm's way. The Amazonian supervillain is the primary antagonist in the show and a force against the group of monsters put together by Amanda Waller.
Although the characters and narrative of the show are ripe for further exploration, no news has officially been announced regarding the show's renewal for a probable second season. Here's all that we know.

Showrunners open up about the Max show
In a recent interview with Collider's Steve Weintraub, showrunner and creator James Gunn spoke about the show alongside Dean Lorey. Speaking about the future of intellectual property and the direction in which Creature Commandos might move forward shortly, James Gunn revealed:
"We might decide that we want to do something different with Creature Commandos. We might want to go off and make the Creature Commandos movie. We might want to do something different. I just know that I would love to have some of the same people involved, like Dean. I kicked the ball, but then Dean ran with it, kicking it around to BobbyPills and Rick Morales and all the other people who were involved in the telling of the story, and it was a wonderful situation."
Gunn also took the opportunity to reveal which characters from the show might eventually have a movie of their own shortly. He added:
"There were so many for me. Yes, Harbour as Frankenstein, Grillo just being able to deliver the whole time, Zoë (Chao), who was fantastic in the show, and Indira (Varma), who's fantastic as The Bride. Then also, Michael Rooker is Sam in Episode 3 — such a pathetic, sad guy and so different from the characters that Rooker has normally done. There are just some great performances on the show throughout."
Creature Commandos airs exclusively on Max.
