As we approach May 2025, it will soon be 3 whole years since Volume 1 of Stranger Things Season 4 premiered on Netflix. Stranger Things Season 5 is set to release in 2025, but Netflix has not dropped any official teasers for the show, so there's no official release date as of yet.
However, there is a very important Netflix event coming up on April 31, 2025, and this might be the perfect place for Netflix to drop the first teaser and release dates for the fifth and final season of the show.

Can we expect a Stranger Things Season 5 teaser drop soon?
Stranger Things is prepping for a huge couple of months ahead of the Season 5 release, and it appears that a fan event will be a major event for the show. The Netflix TUDUM 2025 event, a global fan event in Los Angeles, California, is just around the corner on May 31, 2025.
A special Stranger Things superfan event will also be taking place in late May, on the same days as the TUDUM event, according to sources. The website 1iota, an official ticket distributor for scripted and unscripted television recordings, reads:
"We’re looking for Stranger Things fans for an undisclosed event opportunity! [We’re] looking for fans who have been there from the beginning! We’re seeking those who can quote lines from every season, love chocolate pudding, keeping the curiosity door open, and who know every word to “Running up that Hill”. Basically, we are looking for members of the Hellfire Club!"
It sounds like it will be an exciting couple of months for Netflix's Stranger Things. Additionally, Netflix just revealed its lineup for the 2025 TUDUM event, and it appears that Stranger Things is also a part of this list, along with several other shows such as Wednesday and One Piece. There is a very high possibility that Netflix will be making some big announcements regarding Stranger Things in the TUDUM event, so don't forget to tune in for the stream. We might get to see a teaser or, hopefully, some posters, or maybe just a release date (yes, we're all very desperate for some news at this point).
For Stranger Things Season 4, the first teaser trailer dropped in February 2020, and a second one on May 6, 2021. For a May 2022 release, the first official trailer was released in April 2022. So, if Netflix does release a teaser for Stranger Things Season 5 at the TUDUM event, there is a high possibility that the Season 5 release dates will be announced a few months after that. This is all speculation at this point, but we'll have to wait for the TUDUM event for the updates, if any.
Netflix's TUDUM event will be streaming live exclusively on Netflix this year, unlike last year when it was streaming on social media handles such as X. So, don't forget to tune in on May 31, 2025, at 5 PM PST (June 1 for the folks in Europe or Asia).
