He discussed about perfection and being obsessed with some particular details. The Shark Tank mentor revealed that sometimes obsessing over such details "pays off." Referring to that, he captioned the video clip with the following:
"They say perfection is the enemy of good...but sometimes obsessing over those details DOES pay off. Throughout my life, I’ve had the opportunity to meet and learn from many extraordinary people and they all had the same obsessive commitment to excellence."
Shark Tank mentor Daniel Lubetzky reveals meeting renowned personalities and what he learned from them
In his recently published Instagram reel, the Shark Tank mentor recalled his healthy snack bar, KIND, and how it was initially. Talking about obsessing over "details," Daniel recalled when his company was in the initial expansion phase.
Although this was going well, he was obsessed over the quality of his company's bars. For his peace of mind, he had an idea. Daniel, worried about the "consistency and quality" of the KIND bars, asked to have every flavored bar from each outlet. He then cut tiny pieces from each batch's bar and tried them.
"So I had every flavor from every batch sent to my office for months. All I could eat was KIND bars. Would lay out all of the products from every batch, cut a tiny piece, because I couldn't eat the whole bar, but I would try every single product from every batch."
Later on in the clip, he recalled meeting renowned personalities such as Mohammad Darawshe, Danny DeVito and Rhea Perlman:
"When I was building the One Voice Movement with Mohammad Darawshe, who tried to build bridges between Palestinians and Israelis. We met Danny DeVito and Rhea Perlman, and they decided to host us to introduce our work to the entertainment community."
Danny and Rhea asked them to show up at 9 in the morning for their meeting, which they all did. They filmed and re-filmed some parts and did that again and again. That made Daniel realize their commitment to excellence and craft was at the next level. The Shark Tank mentor recalled how everything was done "perfectly."
"It was fascinating, and it made me start appreciating how people film movies, and you watch their work, and they make it look seamless, but in fact, they worked so hard to be so obsessive so that they can deliver what their product is, their craftsmanship with immaculate perfection."
He also had the opportunity to meet legendary magician David Copperfield. Seeing him prepare and his passion for work made Daniel realize how such individuals are always "working, working, working" towards perfection.
Shark Tank's mentor stated that one can lead towards excellence and do great things with passion and commitment.
