The hit Netflix series Cobra Kai, a reboot of the beloved Karate Kid franchise, is nearing its ultimate showdown. Season 6, divided into three parts, has captivated fans with intense action and emotional depth.
While Parts 1 and 2 have already thrilled viewers, the finale, Part 3, promises to bring the story to a fitting close. Here's everything we know about Cobra Kai Season 6, Part 3, including its release date, plot twists, and returning cast.
According to IMDb, the summary of the Cobra Kai reads as below:
"Decades after their 1984 All Valley Karate Tournament bout, a middle-aged Daniel LaRusso and Johnny Lawrence find themselves martial-arts rivals again."
When Will Cobra Kai Season 6, Part 3 release?
To date, Netflix hasn't publicized the exact release date of Cobra Kai Season 6, Part 3. However, Netflix's Tudum cites that viewers should expect the third part in 2025. Parts 1 and 2 had come out on July 18, 2024, and November 15, 2024.
Cobra Kai Season 6 Part 3, The Finale Event, will consist of five episodes, which will continue the season's pacing structure. Co-creator Hayden Schlossberg says splitting the season into three acts was analogous to how the show's writing staff thinks when approaching its storytelling.
"We think in five-episode chunks, so it's like three mini-seasons," Schlossberg noted.
Plot expectations: High-stake drama and epic showdowns
For a cliffhanger ending to Season 6, Part 2, there's no other way but a dramatic one. Part 2 ended with an international Sekai Taikai tournament finish nobody saw coming. The match got marred by a brawl in the semifinals, but that ended with Kwon, a Cobra Kai fighter played by Brandon H. Lee, falling onto a knife that resulted in a tragic death. Everyone's left stunned and hanging about what would happen to both the tournament and its characters.
Part 3 will likely dig into the emotional and legal fallout from Kwon's death and whether or not to run the tournament. The finals, if it gets that far, would be exciting as fights between Samantha (Mary Mouser) vs Tory (Peyton List) on the girls' side could potentially happen, and maybe on the boys' side, Robby (Tanner Buchanan) advances.
Yet another thing in waiting is a final face-off between the dojos and their leaders. Kreese (Martin Kove) and Silver (Thomas Ian Griffith) have regressed to Cobra Kai in an even mightier form, with Kreese reforming Cobra Kai and Silver coaching the Iron Dragons. The heroes-in-the-making, Johnny (William Zabka), Daniel (Ralph Macchio), and their students, will be examined under the microscope as they deal with their arch-enemies.
The finale is expected to tie up most of the series’ long-running storylines. Schlossberg has assured fans that the show aims for a satisfying conclusion, resolving nearly all conflicts while delivering high-stakes action.

The final five episodes will feature familiar faces that have become synonymous with the show’s success. William Zabka (Johnny Lawrence), Ralph Macchio (Daniel LaRusso), and Xolo Maridueña (Miguel Diaz) will reprise their iconic roles. Other key cast members include:
