Disclaimer: Major Cobra Kai Season 6 Part 3 spoilers ahead

Cobra Kai Season 6 Part 3 took things to a new level with surprising deaths that will change how the show ends. These last episodes finished some big fights, with important characters dying in shocking ways. The biggest loss was Terry Silver, who has caused problems for Daniel and Johnny for a long time. He tried to force Johnny to cheat at the Sekai Taikai tournament, which led to a deadly fight.

In a surprising move, Kreese gave his life to stop Silver, ending the latter’s reign of fear forever. Kim Sun-Yung, the powerful Cobra Kai grandmaster, was killed by his own granddaughter, Kim Da-Eun. She decided to go against his harsh ways. Also, Dennis De Guzman, who was Silver’s right-hand person, was killed by Kreese.

Let us look at each big death and why it is important to the show’s ending.

Terry Silver’s final move ended in his death on Cobra Kai

Terry Silver, portrayed by Thomas Ian Griffith, has been a key villain since The Karate Kid Part III and he plays a big role in Cobra Kai. He showed up again in Season 6, Part 2, and was revealed as the secret supporter of the Iron Dragons. This made him a final challenge in the Sekai Taikai tournament.

Additionally, it is shared that Silver is dying of cancer, making his final moments more intense. In Episode 14, Silver plans to kidnap Johnny's family. His goal was to force Johnny to lose to Sensei Wolf. However, Kreese had other plans. After the sad demise of Kwon, Kreese wanted to make amends. He stepped in and stopped Silver. The two of them had a big fight on Silver's yacht.

During the battle, gas spilled on the floor. John Kreese used Silver's cigar to start a fire. This caused a huge explosion that ended up killing them both. This action not only helped Kreese find peace for his past mistakes, but it also finished Silver's control over Cobra Kai for good.

John Kreese’s death after a sacrifice that redeemed him

John Kreese, played by Martin Kove, started down a surprising path to redemption after a long time of being manipulative and ambitious. He felt guilty about causing Kwon's death at the Sekai Taikai, which made him want to make things right. He pushes Tory Nichols to keep fighting and making peace with Johnny.

To completely turn his life around, Kreese decided to end Silver's control, which was surprising. This was his ultimate act of redemption. It showed that he wanted Cobra Kai to be in the right hands. When he died in the explosion, it showed that he had changed from being a villain to more of an antihero.

Kim Sun-Yung dies of his own granddaughter’s wrath

Kim Sun-Yung, a harsh Korean grandmaster, led Cobra Kai and was Kreese's first teacher. In Part 3, he faces a tragic end. Angry at Cobra Kai's loss at the Sekai Taikai, he made the training much tougher. He thought his students were the problem.

His granddaughter, Kim Da-Eun, didn't like his harsh ways anymore. She tried to hurt him with poison in a surprising moment, but he fought back. So, they ended up fighting with their hands. She used his own dangerous move to beat him. This made her a big deal in the world of martial arts for the younger crowd.

Dennis De Guzman, a devoted follower of Terry Silver from The Karate Kid Part III, had an important job in Silver's grand scheme. He needed to grab Carmen Diaz and her baby. But he ended up facing Kreese instead.

They had a fierce battle, and Kreese ended up stabbing Dennis and pushing him down the stairs. This made sure Dennis couldn't cause any more trouble.
