Amazon Prime released the official trailer for the Italian spy thriller Citadel: Diana on September 11, 2024. The trailer promises a slick and suave espionage thriller with breathtaking visuals and endless twists and turns to keep viewers hooked and on the edge of their seats.
The Russo Brothers created the first spin-off of the 2023 American spy series Citadel, starring Richard Madden and Priyanka Chopra. The show will stream all six episodes on Amazon Prime Video in October.
Citadel: Diana will be followed by Citadel: Honey Bunny, set primarily in India and released on November 7 this year.

What is the plot of Citadel: Diana?
Citadel: Diana is set in 2030 in Milan- a city dealing with the consequence of the downfall of the global independent spy agency, Citadel, eight years later.
The city's rival syndicate of Manticore brought about the downfall, forcing the Citadel agents to scatter and hide throughout the country. In this uncertain turn of events, Diana Cavalieri, an undercover Citadel agent working in Manticore, finds herself isolated and stranded.
As Diana searches to escape this dire situation, she finds an unexpected ally, Edo Zani, who can only help her escape. The heir to Manticore Italy, Edo, is consequently involved in a difficult power struggle inside the organization with other European families, raising further complexity in Diana’s unstable condition.
To make things further complicated, Diana realizes that the Zani family might be connected to the tragic death of her parents.

The show boasts of a talented ensemble cast, true to the spirit of the Citadel franchise. The cast features Matilda De Angelis in the titular role, who is known among the American audience through her performance in the 2020 HBO miniseries The Undoing.
