In episode 2, the Intelligence team started a hunt on the person who killed their latest member, Emily Martel. It also introduced a new series regular, Officer Kiana Cook.

The second episode, titled Blood Bleeds Blue focuses mostly on Kiana Cook and Adam Ruzek. The major part of the plot deals with the search for Roy Darrow, Emily Martel’s killer.

Episode 2 shows the dilemma of Roy, as it is revealed that he has a family. Feeling that he will eventually be caught, Roy thinks of murdering his children and then commit suicide. So, Kiana and Adam basically go on a race against time to catch Roy and bring him to justice.

The stakes go higher as Roy shoots his wife and kidnaps his two year old toddler. His other son, sensing danger, takes his uncle’s gun and goes after his father. However, before any major mishap happens, Kiana and Adam reach there and save the day.

With the second episode ending with Kiana and Adam resting after avoiding a major crisis, the next episodes are very likely to focus on them and how Kiana is becoming a part of the team since she will be a regular now.

Adam’s recurring trauma about witnessing Emily’s death right in front of him might also be addressed more meaningfully in the upcoming third and forth episodes.
