What to expect from Chicago P.D. Season 12 Episode 13?
Kevin Atwater will be hiding a secret from his team in the upcoming episode, titled Street Jesus. As a gang war happens in the streets of Chicago, the 21st District team is tasked with investigating the case.
However, Atwater has his agenda this time, as he wants a community-center project to continue amid the war. The episode preview shows fellow officer, Adam Ruzek, asking Atwater if he is hiding something.
When the detective refuses to speak and seems relaxed over the death of a gang member, Ruzek warns him that he will have to tell everything to Sergeant Henry Voight. NBC has unveiled an official logline for the upcoming episode, which reads:
“A mounting street war threatens a community-center project that Atwater is trying to get off the ground.”
What happened in the previous episode of Chicago P.D.?
In Chicago P.D. season 12, episode 12, Torres took the lead on a tough case when he found a dead teenage boy in a barn. The man the team was investigating had nothing to do with the boy, which left them wondering what happened to him.
They soon learned the boy, named Kai, had been in a juvenile detention center, the same one where Torres had spent time as a teen. Torres decided to go undercover at the detention center to find out the truth. He discovered that Kai had been hurt while he was in detention.
The guards claimed Kai just disappeared, but something did not feel right. Torres suspected Kai’s cellmate, Tommy, knew more than he was saying. During a cafeteria fight, the center went into lockdown, and Torres got trapped in a cell with another inmate.
This brought back traumatic memories from his own past, which caused him to panic. Once he calmed down, Torres talked to another inmate named Art, who admitted the guards had forced him to help cover up their crimes.
Art finally told Torres that he was running a trafficking ring inside the facility. A correctional officer named Collins was the one who hurt Kai and was also abusing other boys. Art was helping him out in exchange for his own safety. When Torres confronted Collins, the officer tried to shoot him, but Torres shot back and killed him.
