Later Kaiden also provided the officers with Hamani's location. Kaiden's sudden change of heart makes the team grow more suspicious of him.
The team finds out Hamani's location and tries to shoot him. However, Chief Reid pulls the trigger and kills the Macklin Hustler's leader. Voight comes to realize that Reid has a habit of 'collecting' criminals he kills. This might make him misuse his position to control the crime lords and others in the department. Even though Voight confronts Reid, the latter refuses to answer, leading to further suspicion.
When Voight reaches Carl's sister's home to inform her about her brother's murderer being killed, he finds her dead. Voight realizes that she may have been killed by the person who hired Kaiden's lawyer, working for the rival gang. Voight also finds out that Reid was behind this entire plot of killing Hamani and shutting down Mackelin Hustlers, because he thought the rival gang was better for business.
