Airing on February 19, 2025, Chicago Med Season 10 Episode 13 picked up from where the last episode had ended and focused mainly on Asher, Ripley, Lenox, and Maggie among others.

Ripley’s character is shown to continue his reckless behavior and his dark side is gradually coming out, which is not taken well by anyone. Everyone is worried about him and it is not sure what will happen to that character post this episode.

A lot more happens as Charles goes ahead to help Jackie despite how he feels and Maggie takes care of a transgender woman with dementia. Let us now explore what happened in Chicago Med Season 10 Episode 13 in detail.

Ripley beats up a man in Chicago Med Season 10 Episode 13

Sully’s death impacted Ripley badly and he continues to spiral. At the end of Chicago Med Season 10 Episode 12, it was shown that Ripley was getting into a fight with a man while being outside of a bar.

That episode was at a point where it seemed like Ripley was on the winning side. However, as episode 13 opens, it is shown that the man has hit back, putting Ripley on the ground. Then the viewers get to see him the next day, where he has clear signs of fights on his body.

When Hannah asks him about the same, he does not tell her anything and instead goes to Frost, with whom he is supposed to treat a man who has been beaten badly. The wife of the man is also there and she suspects someone did this to her husband outside the bar.

The patient seems critical and Ripley realizes that this is the same man with whom he had that massive might the previous day. As his condition worsens, Ripley wants to treat and take care of the man on his own and when he finally confesses to an already suspecting Frost about what had happened, the latter makes him go out of the operation theatre.

It is then revealed that the man’s wife wants to sue the hospital and Goodwin is left with no choice but to suspend Ripley without pay. The episode ends with Hannah confronting Ripley about his life choices while Ripley does not say anything.

Maggie takes care of a transgender woman with dementia in Chicago Med Season 10 Episode 13

In this episode, the viewers get to see Maggie in her element again as she goes beyond her duty calls to help a patient who appears to be a man but is actually a transgender woman, who because of her dementia had forgotten her identity.

When the patient comes in, it is shown that he has been coming from a care facility where he had a fight with the nurse over turning off the TV. Judging from the man’s activities, Maggie tells Goodwin that she suspects dementia and the latter encourages her to investigate further.

It is eventually revealed that the patient is actually a transgender woman who lost track of her transitioning surgeries because her dementia kicked in. The care facility she was put in treated her as a man only and gradually she lost touch with her actual identity.

Maggie then helps the patient and she gets a makeover and when she finally looks at the mirror that helps her get in touch with her real identity again. Goodwin also offers Maggie to help with some LGBTQ facilities that would take better care of the patient and this case marks a beautiful moment in the show.

Chicago Med can be streamed on Peacock.
