What happened in the previous episode of Chicago Med season 10?
In Chicago Med season 10 episode 9, No Love Lost, Sharon Goodwin had to be treated after Cassidy attacked her in her office, blaming her for her wife’s death. Dr. Archer then rushed her to the ED, where the team worked tirelessly to stabilize her.
Goodwin had suffered severe injuries and her condition was critical. Fortunately, she made it through surgery and began her recovery. During the operation, Archer had to make a difficult choice.
Despite Goodwin’s daughter's apprehension, he went ahead with a complicated Whipple procedure to give her a shot at normal life. He did not wait for her family’s consent as he felt the procedure was necessary.
However, this ultimately saved Goodwin’s life and she later thanked Archer for doing what was best for her. She tore up his resignation letter and urged him to stay at Med, saying both the hospital and she needed him.
Meanwhile, Dr. Reese had filed a misconduct claim against Dr. Charles over a patient who believed she had been on depression medication but had actually been taking a placebo. During the investigation, they discovered the patient suffered from episodic memory loss, which explained her confusion.
Reese and Charles also resolved their personal issues while working on the case. Charles apologized for making Reese doubt herself and praised her talent. He requested her to return to Med, but Reese decided to move on, and the two parted on good terms.
