Chicago Fire season 13 has aired yet another exciting episode on November 13, 2024. Ever since Dom Pascal joined the show as the new Chief of Firehouse 51, there has been intrigue about his mysterious past in Miami.
While the new episode, Untouchable, does not explicitly answer what transpired in Miami, it does offer some clues about Pascal’s behavior and methods of working. Meanwhile, the Chief and Kelly Severide investigate the case of fire at a storage facility.
At the same time, Carver is dealing with relationship problems with his girlfriend Tori after the two got back together. On the other hand, Novak takes on a new mission and Mouch faces the pressure of taking the lieutenant’s test. Here is the full recap of Chicago Fire season 13 episode 7.
Chicago Fire season 13 episode 7 recap: Monica Pascal brings up Dom Pascal’s Miami past
The episode references Miami when Chief Pascal’s wife, Monica says, ‘This is Miami all over again,” as the Chief asks her to stay with her sister for some days for safety. Pascal receives a message from the villainous cop Bishop, which makes him worried about his wife’s security.
Though this does not reveal what happened in Miami, it does hint that Pascal has a habit of getting into complicated situations while trying to protect his family or team. Monica’s reaction shows she is tired of this pattern.
It can certainly be said that Pascal is not a bad guy, he is more of a tough problem-solver who is willing to break some rules to get the job done, unlike his predecessor in Chicago Fire, Chief Boden. This becomes evident when he starts a fire at the storage garage at the end of the episode.
What happens in the rest of the episode?
In the episode, Severide and Pascal team up to bring down Captain Bishop, who has been involved in shady deals and even produces ‘ghost guns,’ i.e. untraceable firearms.
Bishop realizes they are closing in on him, so he makes threats against Severide’s wife, Kidd, and leaves a threatening note at Pascal’s home. These threats only fuel Severide and Pascal’s determination, and they gather enough evidence in Bishop’s storage locker to show his illegal activities.
Severide and Pascal find evidence in Bishop’s storage locker that proves he has been making these illegal guns. A homeless man named Devin has been helping him, but he is terrified of what Bishop might do to him now that he has been exposed.
Devin tries to run away, but Vonn, who works in Internal Affairs, convinces him to talk. On a lighter note, Violet faces relationship challenges of her own. She is dating Finn, who surprises her by inviting her to a family funeral.
The event seems like an odd choice for a date, but it forces Violet to confront her past, including her late boyfriend’s death. This date helps Violet realize she is ready to let her guard down and start a fresh chapter with Finn.
Carver is also dealing with his complicated relationship with Tori, who recently returned from Texas. Tori is fun and energetic, and even the firehouse team enjoys having her around. But Carver realizes she is becoming a distraction from his work, especially as she demands a lot of his attention.
In the end, Tori goes back to Texas, giving Carver the space he needs to focus on his career and the team. Meanwhile, Novak has her own mission as she is passionate about adding blood bags to ambulances and develops a detailed plan to convince Chief Robinson to approve this policy.
The episode also shows Mouch, one of the older firefighters in Chicago Fire, studying for the lieutenant’s test and feeling the pressure of possibly getting a promotion. At one point, he has a panic attack, but Cruz helps him calm down.
In the end, Bishop’s garage catches fire and exposes more illegal weapons. At first, it seems like Devin might have set the fire as revenge, but it turns out that Pascal may have arranged it himself to expose Bishop’s crimes. Hence, Severide and Pascal finally get a reason to celebrate a bit.
