Chicago Fire Season 13 Episode 15 recap: Chief Pascal gets devastating news

Chicago Fire Season 13 Episode 15 was going to be tough as the trailer hinted at a character death.

Chief Pascal's wife, Monica, made a surprise appearance after many weeks. Still, through the final moments of the episode, Pascal gets devastating news from Mouch that Monica was involved in a car accident and is dead.

Elsewhere, Kidd and Severide begin their adoptive journey as a social worker visits their house to see if it is fit for a child. While their profession already puts them at a disadvantage, Herrman and Cruz unknowingly put a good word in for them.

The social worker sees how good a family they have at work and eventually chooses them to become adoptive parents.

Chief Pascal motivates Mouch in Chicago Fire Season 13 Episode 15

It turns out Pascal is not going to leave his Chief position at Firehouse 51, as he asks Mouch to apply for a lieutenant role at another Firehouse. While Mouch does not want to leave 51, Pascal definitely wants him to secure a lieutenant position soon, even if it means going to a different Firehouse.

Since Mouch has plans with Herrman to stay at the firehouse, he is reluctant but still attends the job interview. Pascal's stay at 51 also suggests that Herrman will not be able to become Chief here, which doesn't open the lieutenant spot for Mouch. It would be interesting to see Mouch's decision regarding this lieutenant position.

Damon gets in trouble at a rescue call in Chicago Fire Season 13 Episode 15

Damon's time at Firehouse 20 is not going as smoothly as he must have imagined, particularly during Episode 15, which posed a challenge for him. During a rescue call to extinguish a fire at a building, Damon's partner, Jenner, left him with a victim and fled the scene.

Later, when everybody praises Damon for his heroic saving, Jenner gets worked up. He threatens Damon not to tell the truth to their lieutenant and instead fabricates a story about how he was separated from his partner during the call.

Damon takes Severide's advice, telling him not to mess with Jenner and to wait for the incompetent man to eventually mess up. However, when his lieutenant asks Damon about the details of their call, he tells the truth, which works up Jenner even more.

He corners Damon at Molly's and even accuses him of landing the job due to his connection with Severide. After this incident, Kidd and Severide consider bringing Damon back to Firehouse 51.

Monica Pascal had an accident in Chicago Fire Season 13 Episode 15

Chief Pascal prepared for his anniversary dinner with his wife during the episode. He even talked about gift options with his sister-in-law, but all his plans ended up being in vain since Monica never made it to the dinner.

While Pascal was waiting at a fancy restaurant with a gift on the table, Monica had a car accident while on her way to the restaurant. While medics did their best to keep her alive, she did not make it to the hospital. Mouch delivered the devastating news to Pascal, who arrived in tears to find his wife dead. The entire Firehouse 51 family and Violet console and support Pascal in the wake of this tragedy.
