The trailer opens with the show host, Amanda Holden, stating:

"Cheating is one of the most heartbreaking betrayals of trust."

A conversation between one of the couples, where the female cast member mentions that his cheating has "ruined" her. As Amanda reveals, the show will feature 8 ex-couples, reuniting at the "relationship retreat."

To help the participants navigate throughout the show, the show also features relationship expert Paul C. Brunson. The next scene reveals Paul telling couples to "talk about the cheating," as that is one of the steps towards building their relationship.

Further in the trailer, Paul mentions a "reckoning room," which will be interesting. While sitting in front of their ex-partners, contestants accuse each other of cheating and lying while in a relationship. While some of them get emotional when they're discussing cheating, Amanda asks:

"Do you think that's something that's worth rebuilding? Do you stay and continue unfinished business?"

One of the female participants on Cheat: Unfinished Business reveals that her ten-year-old relationship was on the "line." The trailer further features various arguments, yelling, and more among the participants, and things get heated up.

On April 28, 2025, Netflix released the second trailer, starting with a male cast member admitting to living a "double life." Another female cast member confesses that "lies" ruin everything.

In another shocking confession, a male participant admits that when his partner Lucia arrived, "the girl" was still in his bed.

Throughout the second trailer, a question revolves around: What is cheating? Relationship expert refers to it as a "huge question." A conversation between a couple takes place where the male participant admits he slept in the same bed, but nothing happened.

"Expect me to believe that?" asks the female participant.

When he does not seem serious about the conversation, she tells him the situation is not "funny." Another conversation between another couple takes place. The male participant asks his partner whether she liked him. She responds that she didn't know anymore and didn't love him.

"Your relationship is gonna be under scrutiny," said the host.

The next scene features two participants sharing an intimate moment, after which a male participant mentions:

"To get over somebody, you gotta get under somebody else."

It shocks the rest of the participants on Cheat: Unfinished Business. One more male cast member admits to being a "bit of a naughty" boy. The trailer ends with Amanda asking one of the couples if they wanted their decision and whether they were "finished for good."
