Celebrity Big Brother U.K. housemates break their silence on the Mickey Rourke drama

Mickey Rourke has been in hot water since he appeared on Celebrity Big Brother UK. The housemates have also been vocal about what they think of his words and how he behaved towards Jojo Siwa and Ella Rae Wise.

Mickey, the American actor and boxer, had made homophobic remarks and made other cast members uncomfortable in his presence. The production took note of his actions and decided to evict him on the 6th day of filming.

Speaking of his remarks to Jojo where he called her a "lesbian," Mickey apologized and said,

"I want to apologize. I’ve got a habit of having a short fuse. And I don’t mean nothing by it. I do mean it [sorry]. If I didn’t, I wouldn’t say it to you.”

However, this was not the first time that he was warned for his behavior, and after multiple strikes, the Celebrity Big Brother production had decided to remove him. A spokesperson told Us Weekly,

"Mickey Rourke has agreed to leave the Celebrity Big Brother House this evening following a discussion with Big Brother regarding further use of inappropriate language and instances of unacceptable behaviour."

He had gotten into an argument with fellow housemate Chris Hughes, and he ended up calling him a "c"nt." Apologizing for the same, he said,

"I did wrong. I apologize. I’m sorry. I stepped over the line. I take responsibility for doing the wrong thing,” he continued. “I lost my temper, and I’ve been trying to work on it my whole life. And I wish I would have had better self-control. I’m very sorry. I’m ashamed of myself for losing it for a few seconds there.”

Patsy Palmer - When asked about Mickey during her interview after exiting Celebrity Big Brother on the 16th day, Patsy decided to remain silent. However, viewers criticised her for not speaking up, which made her say in her Instagram story that silence sends a powerful message as well.

Ella Rae Wise - Ella was a victim of Mickey's comments on Celebrity Big Brother and decided to speak up. She said in the diary room,

"He’s making me feel on edge. I’m a young girl. I’m not a piece of meat. He’s making people feel so uneasy."

She later told host Ranvir Singh that she didn't "appreciate" what was being said about her and is glad that she will never have to come across Mickey ever again.

Michael Fabricant - Even though Michael, who was the first person to be evicted from the Celebrity Big Brother house, did not say anything directly regarding the remarks made by Mickey, he did not think that the housemate was "on another planet for the whole show." He pointed out his estranged behavior in social settings.

Jojo Siwa - Jojo, who has been on the receiving end of Mickey's "lesbian" remarks, had made her way to the finals. She had also called out Mickey to his face, saying that he is "homophobic."
