Celebrity Bear Hunt Episode 8 Recap: Five finalists compete against each other to win the ultimate title

Celebrity Bear Hunt's finale aired on Netflix on February 5, 2025. The eighth episode of the competition show, Last Celebrity Standing, featured five finalists enjoying their time at the base camp before the final challenge.

The Final Bear Pit Challenge resulted in Lottie and Kola getting caught. After they were sent home, Steph, Zuu, and Una became the three finalists. The reality show ended after Bear Grylls announced the winner, Big Zuu.

Celebrity Bear Hunt Season 1 Episode 8: Final Bear Pit Challenge results in two eliminations, three finalists and one Bear Hunt champion

The eighth episode of Celebrity Bear Hunt started with the celebrity contestants' last dinner at the base camp. Female participants made a garland of leaves for Zuu to thank him for the cooking.

On the last night, they also staged a prank, which Zuu figured out, and everyone laughed. The next morning, everyone was excited for the final challenge.

"I'm obviously really humbled to be here, and I've had such a great time, but it would be the cherry on top of the icing, on top of the beautiful cake, to be the winner of Bear Hunt," confessed Zuu.

Soon, Celebrity Bear Hunt host Holly arrived and told the participants how to "expect the unexpected." She mentioned that participants needed to "escape" the Bear Pit or "evade" Bear.

She also noted that five finalists would start their Final Bear Pit challenge in separate locations. There were three exits; hence, only three participants could escape.

"The Bear-pitters have each been given a map showing the location of the three exits. The rope lift, under the fence, and the 4x4. They all require a specific tool. But this time, there are two of each planted around the pit, which have also been marked on their maps. But they won't know for sure which tool is for which exit until they get there," stated the host.

Finalists were tied and given a rock to set themselves free at the beginning of the task. They were headed towards:

• Lottie: to the 4x4,
• Zuu and Una: to the Caiman Pool,
• Kola and Steph: to the fence.

However, they were unaware of each other's exit strategies. After reaching the fence individually, Steph and Kola were headed to find the shovel. Una and Zuu headed towards the Caiman Pool to get the carabiner for the exit.

Soon, Celebrity Bear Hunt star Steph realized Kola was going for the same exit as hers. Hence, he searched for the same tool, the shovel. After Kola failed to get one of the shovels out of the cage, only one was left at a different location. They were then headed to that shovel. Lottie found the required tools for the Land Rover.

"I'm so stressed, but I finally manage to get the tool. Now I just need to get back to my exit," shared Lottie.

Bear was hiding near the riverbed behind the rocks. Soon, he spotted Kola, who tried to outrun him but was caught. Steph witnessed that from a distance and ran away.

Zuu got a carabiner hanging on a tree after he started a fire to melt the rope. Steph found the shovel. While on her way to the 4x4, Lottie tripped a wire and ran from there. Bear was hiding near Lottie's way, but she kept running. She was caught after she reached the vehicle.

When Una arrived at the carabiner's location, she learned that somebody already got it before her. She decided to evade Bear, and as she was advancing further, she set off three trip wires.

Steph started digging while Zuu reached his exit at the Caiman Pool. Una set off another trip wire while she was trying to hide. After a steep climb over the cliff, Celebrity Bear Hunt star Zuu escaped the Bear Pit.

Along with him, Steph managed to dig the fence and get out. Bear chased Una, but the bell saved her as the task ended.

Una, Steph, and Zuu made it to the end of the final Bear Pit. Lottie and Kola were sent home before the winner was revealed. After the three finalists returned to the base camp, Holly and Bear soon arrived.

"Many are called, few are chosen," said Bear Grylls.

Bear Grylls revealed Big Zuu as the winner after mentioning his "never-give-up" attitude.
