Celebrity Bear Hunt Episode 2 Recap: While some participants are stuck in the Bear Pit, the rest struggle to win the race

Celebrity Bear Hunt Episode 2, Let Down by My Bladder, aired on Netflix on February 5, 2025. The second episode of the competition show featured four contestants: Laurence, Leomie, Steph, and Mel in the Bear Pit.

After Leomie was eliminated, six participants, Una, Danny, Shirley, Zuu, Lottie, and Joe, were divided into two teams for further challenges. The second episode featured the Bridge the Gap challenge, which ended with the Green team winning.

Celebrity Bear Hunt Episode 2 Recap: Teams Blue and Green compete against the time in Bridge the Gap challenge after Leomi was sent home

The second episode of Celebrity Bear Hunt picked off right from the first episode's end. Leomie got herself in a trap while securing a shovel. However, she managed to get herself out of the trap.

Laurence had to find a shovel while Steph was looking for the tunnel exit. Leomie and Mel were headed towards the cliff climb exit. After finding the tunnel exit, Steph needed to find the wire cutters to cut the mesh cover. Laurence found the shovel and was headed to the exit.

Bear was hiding behind a stone, where he spotted Laurence, who had difficulty breathing. Soon, he reached the dig-under-fence exit, where Bear followed him without knowing.

While digging, Laurence wanted to pee because he consumed too much water. Taking advantage of the situation, Bear moved closer to him when he was facing the wall. Soon, he was caught.

The clock reached 24 minutes while Bear moved further, wanting to catch one more celebrity.

"He's gonna be out looking for his next kill," whispered Steph.

Soon, Celebrity Bear Hunt star Mel reached the ravine filled with crocodiles. She cut the chains of the wooden boat using the bolt cutter she found earlier on her way. While she was pulling herself towards the cliff, Leomie arrived there. After climbing the cliff, Mel made it to the exit.

"And then I think the realization, I just couldn't even breathe. I just wanted to take all my clothes off and swim with the crocodile," confessed Mel.

While trying to get a tool, Leomie was caught in a trap. Steph was still hiding. After spotting Bear at a near distance, she planned to outrun him. However, she was caught.

"So that is three celebrities hunted and caught. This first Bear Hunt...is over," shared Bear Grylls.

The rest of the Celebrity Bear Hunt participants at the base camp were concerned about the competitors out at the Bear Pit. They soon saw Mel running out of the Bear Pit.

At the Bear Pit Court, three caught celebrities faced Bear Grylls. When he asked Laurence how he felt, he mentioned:

"I enjoyed the situational awareness, but I was 100% let down by my bladder, and I do apologize."

Bear mentioned that Leomie didn't look like she had a "real plan" and was caught on the first day. For that reason, she was sent home. Soon, Steph and Laurence also came out of the Bear Pit.

At night, the Celebrity Bear Hunt host, Holly, joined the contestants for the Fire Pit time. She revealed upcoming challenges and the teams:

"Over the next two days, you will all be taking part in one of two challenges. The first challenge is called "Bridge the Gap" and will take place tomorrow morning at Razor Ravine. So six of you are gonna be tackling this challenge, while the rest of you will remain here at base camp.

Six participants were divided into two teams:

• Team Green: Una, Danny, and Shirley,
• Team Blue: Zuu, Lottie, and Joe.

Celebrity Bear Hunt Episode 2: Bridge the Gap Challenge

Team Green and Blue participants prepared for the challenge the next day and arrived at Razor Ravine. The host and Bear Grylls mentioned a 200-foot straight down and a 200-foot across "gap" that contestants had to cross.

Seeing Bear Grylls purposefully falling a bit, the participants and the host were shocked.

"I'm not actually sure that "nervous" is the right word. I...I think I'm frightened, just, wide-eyed and traumatized," confessed Joe.

The first challenge was the "test of teamwork." A crate containing ten supply bags was on the other side of the bridge. Participants were supposed to get those bags across the bridge using a winch.

However, the bridge was missing a "number of slats" and three "loose slats." They could be used to fill the gaps while crossing the bridge. Additionally, only two participants were allowed at a time on the bridge.

"If you fall, you can pull yourself back up somehow. Each team will take it in turns, and it's a race against the clock. Fastest team wins," said the host.

Team Green was up first. Celebrity Bear Hunt stars Shirley and Danny went on the bridge. After she reached the other side, Danny went back to help Una use the pulley for the bags. Soon, they both also returned across the bridge and completed the task successfully.

Joe and Lottie went up the bridge with the planks for Team Blue while Zuu got the bags ready. After the two got across the bridge, Zuu sent the bags via pully, and he also crossed the bridge.

The Green team took 18:56, while the Blue team took 14:47 seconds and won the challenge. As a result, two members of the Green team, Danny and Una, were going to the Bear Pit.

Both the teams arrived at the base camp and spilled the "tea" about the challenge and the results.
