The American science fiction psychological thriller television series Severance was created by Dan Erickson and directed by Ben Stiller and Aoife McArdle. The story centers on Mark Scout (Scott), a worker for the fictitious firm Lumon Industries, who agrees to a "severance" program that separates his memories of his non-work life from his recollections of his work life.
