The adult animated steampunk action-adventure television series Arcane (also known as Arcane: League of Legends) was developed by Christian Linke and Alex Yee. It was distributed by Netflix, and created by the French animation studio Fortiche under the direction of Riot Games.
During the League of Legends tenth anniversary celebration in 2019, the series was revealed, and its first season aired from November 6–20, 2021. The second and last season aired from November 9 to November 23, 2024.
The plot is mostly centered around the sisters Vi and Jinx and is set in Riot's League of Legends universe. Sisters Vi and Powder (who is later known as Jinx) get involved in a growing battle over opposing views and mysterious technologies amid the mounting conflict between the shady, suppressed underbelly of Zaun and the wealthy, utopian city of Piltover.

Hailee Steinfeld as Violet/ "Vi"
The American singer and actress Hailee Steinfeld voices Violet/ "Vi" in the series. Violet is the main character in Arcane. She and her sister Powder were adopted by Vander when her parents were murdered by Piltover enforcers. Following a disastrous theft, Vi was split up from her sister and imprisoned. Years later, she was freed by Caitlyn Kiramman, a recently dismissed enforcer, who sought her help in tracking down a dangerous Zaunite criminal.
Ella Purnell as Powder / Jinx
The English actress Ella Purnell voices Powder / Jinx in the series. Felicia and Connol had two children named Violet and Powder. Powder got along well with her parents and sister as a child. Their parents were killed in a battle on the bridge between Piltover and Zaun. The two siblings were found by Vander after the war, and he reared them as his own, together with Mylo and Claggor. American teen theatre actress Mia Sinclair Jenness voices the younger Powder.
Kevin Alejandro as Jayce Talis
Jayce Talis is one of the main characters in Arcane. He is an inventor and scientist who became the head of the Council of Piltover after years of successfully guiding the city's scientific and, thus, economic advancement. Viktor and Jayce are in charge of Hextech's founding and the events that followed. Faustino Duran voiced the young Jayce Talis.
Katie Leung as Caitlyn Kiramman
Katie Leung voices Caitlyn Kiramman in the series. Caitlyn Kiramman is one of the main characters in Arcane. Caitlyn joined the Enforcers because she was eager to prove herself and escape the controlling influence and dominating shadow of her parents. When the Sheriff and her parents, for quite different reasons, keep blocking her attempts to look into an alleged conspiracy further, Caitlyn decides to go it alone in search of answers and ends up finding more than she expected. Molly Harris voiced the young Caitlyn.
Toks Olagundoye as Mel Medarda
The Nigerian actress Toks Olagundoye voices Mel Medarda in the series. Mel Medarda is a former Piltover councilor and the daughter of Ambessa Medarda. She was intrigued by Jayce's magical experiments. Imogen Faires voiced the young Mel Medarda.
Harry Lloyd as Viktor
The English actor Harry Lloyd voices Viktor in the series. Viktor, Jayce's crippled partner, was once Councilor Cecil B. Heimerdinger's aide. Heimerdinger is the mastermind behind Hextech and develops an obsession with using magic to make people better. Although he was born in Zaun, Viktor resides in Piltover at the beginning of the series. Edan Hayhurst voices the young Viktor in the series.
Jason Spisak as Silco
The American actor, producer, and computer programmer Jason Spisak voices Silco in the series. Jinx's second adoptive father, Silco, is a crime lord in Zaun and the head of the chem-barons.
JB Blanc as Vander
The English actor JB Blanc voices Vander in the series. Vander is Silco's former brother-in-arms who participated in a rebellion that killed Jinx and Vi's parents, leading him to adopt both of them. He also owns the tavern The Last Drop and serves as its bartender. In season two, Singed transforms him into a wolf-like creature called Warwick.
Reed Shannon as Ekko
Reed Shannon voices Ekko in the series. Ekko, the head of the revolutionary Zaunite group the Firelights, is Vi and Jinx's childhood friend. Miles Brown voices young Ekko.
Mick Wingert as Cecil B. Heimerdinger
The American voice actor Mick Wingert voiced Cecil B. Heimerdinger in the series. The creator of Piltover and head of the city council, Cecil B. Heimerdinger, guides Jayce, Viktor, and then Ekko.
Ellen Thomas as Ambessa Medarda
The Leonean-British actress Ellen Thomas voiced Ambessa Medarda in the series. She is Mel's mother, a well-respected but vicious Noxus military general who wants to defeat the Black Rose conspiracy with Hextech weapons.
Brett Tucker as Dr. Corin Reveck / Singed
The Australian actor and singer Brett Tucker voiced Dr. Corin Reveck / Singed in the series. In an attempt to achieve immortality and save his cryopreserved daughter, he performs immoral experiments. He was also Viktor's previous mentor, Silco's chief scientist, and later Ambessa's.
Amirah Vann as Sevika
The American actress and singer Amirah Vann voices Sevika in the series. Sevika is a chief enforcer and Silco's right-hand woman.
