With The Boys Season 5 on its way, the long-time fan debate of Homelander vs. Superman is never-ending. Introduced as the unchallenged leader of The Seven, Homelander is the primary antagonist of The Boys, created as a parody of DC's poster boy Superman.

While the two superheroes exist in entirely different universes and a fight between them is very unlikely, fans can't help but wonder who will win in a Homelander vs. Superman fight since the former is a parodied version of the Kryptonian son in the show.

While Superman has repeatedly proved his invincibility by fighting against powerful villains, something which The Boys Homelander has yet to showcase, the Man of Steel would surely beat Homelander any day.

With an endless supply of the rare mineral Kryptonian and superior tactical knowledge and combat training than Homelander, Superman will win because he also has a stronger source of power, unlike Homelander.

More on Homelander vs. Superman in our story.

The Boys Homelander is inspired by Superman, which makes him his subordinate

Clark Kent, who later transformed into Superman, was introduced in the 1930s and has had multiple power upgrades until then. He was introduced with super-strength, super-speed, and enhanced durability against attacks, which later transformed into a god-like stature.

Superman's Godlike store was at its peak during the 1970s, challenging the writers as they didn't have an obstacle worthy of Man of Steel. This proves that Homelander, inspired by Superman, would not have a chance to survive if a fight ensued.

While The Boys Homelander also has his own superpowers, such as superhuman strength, speed, stamina, smell, hearing, invulnerability, heat vision, X-ray vision, and flight, it is hard to imagine him beating the Kryptonian God.

Superman has upgraded his powers throughout the years, which makes him a strong opponent for The Boys Homelander

While both the Superheroes are champions in their own Universes, and one might argue that they are at the same level within their Universes, Superman's leverage against Homelander is his power upgrades.

Since Superman has existed for longer than The Boys Homelander, during which time he has absorbed energy from the sun, destroyed entire planets, and battled interdimensional beings, he has the upper hand against Homelander.

While Homelander has not had his powers tested till now, except for the fight with Soldier Boy and Billy Butcher in the Season 3 finale, in which he failed and flew away, this is enough to prove that he does not stand a chance against Man of Steel.

On the other hand, Superman's powers have been tested multiple times against many equally powerful villains, and he has emerged victorious every single time.

Homelander has no moral compass and breathes for the people's adulation, which Superman always tries to protect. While Superman will surely win a fight against Homelander, it is worth noting that the antagonist's powers would do serious damage before losing against Man of Steel.

So, even when Superman wins, he must manage the fallout with his fight against Homelander.
