Can Daredevil: Born Again feature episodes set during The Blip? Speculations explored

Last week's Daredevil: Born Again trailer launched countless fan theories on the internet. "How did Wilson Fisk manage to win the election to become the Mayor of New York?" "What line did Matt Murdock cross?" "Will Karen and Foggy survive the events of Born Again?", "Who is this Muse?" and "Is the White Tiger a good guy or a villain?"

However, ever since the show was announced back in July 2022, some have been wondering whether any episode of Daredevil: Born Again will be set in The Blip. The Decimation or The Blip is the five-year time jump taking place between Thanos's snap in Avengers: Infinity War and Bruce Banner's snap to bring back those who disappeared in Infinity War. The answer to this question is yet unclear.

Will Daredevil: Born Again have episodes set during The Blip or The Decimation?

Consisting of nine episodes, Daredevil: Born Again will begin streaming on March 4, 2025, and each episode will be released every week. Charlie Cox will be returning as Daredevil, a role he has been playing for a decade at this point. Born Again will continue the timeline established in the Netflix series in 2015.

It is possible that an episode of Daredevil: Born Again will reveal what Matt Murdock was going through after Thanos snapped his fingers in Infinity War. We know that Daredevil survived the snap as the flashback in Echo's first episode reveals Daredevil taking on Maya Lopez's gang. Granted, it was just for a minute, but it does prove that The Man Without Fear survived the snap.

His survival also hints at all the potential storylines that we may get in the future. It is possible that Matt survived, but his other friends, like Karen and Foggy, might've been snapped away. This storyline might also have slight nods at the other Marvel Netflix heroes. We may also get potential renewals of Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist. The Born Again trailer did have a shout-out to Luke Cage.

What is the status of other Netflix Marvel characters after Daredevil: Born Again?

As was recently revealed, all of the Marvel Netflix series, from Daredevil to Jessica Jones Season 3, unfold throughout MCU Phase 3. While the Daredevil characters are returning in Daredevil: Born Again, nothing official has been confirmed about Jessica Jones, Iron Fist, Luke Cage, Or The Punisher.

Of the four mentioned above, we can see The Punisher/Frank Castle in the Born Again trailer. For now, we don't know his role in this season, but he surely is going to add to the brutality and adult nature of the show. He probably might be trying to kill New York's mayor, Wilson Fisk. The synopsis for the upcoming Daredevil Season reads like this:

"In Marvel Television’s 'Daredevil: Born Again', Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox), a blind lawyer with heightened abilities, is fighting for justice through his bustling law firm, while former mob boss Wilson Fisk (Vincent D’Onofrio) pursues his own political endeavors in New York. When their past identities begin to emerge, both men find themselves on an inevitable collision course."
