Love is Blind Season 8 cast members Ben and Sara romantically connected in the pods but soon realized they had different values. While having conversations about their childhood and what they are looking for in a relationship, the couple discussed topics like religion as well. Ben shared that he had a strong upbringing which was influenced by the church, meanwhile Sara stated she wasn't a religious individual.
Despite their differences related to faith and their approach to subjects such as religion and society, the couple navigated the ups and downs in their relationship. In the newly released episode 12, Ben looked back on the progress they made as a couple and their plans for the future, he said:
"I'm just thinking about waking up next to her every day and you know, building a family with her. With social issues, religion, all things, I'm confident I can talk to her about any of these issues. She can talk to me about any of these issues in a way that we both feel comfortable and included."
Love is Blind Season 8 Episode 12 titled Brides' Last Ride was released exclusively on Netflix on February 28, 2025. The episode synopsis reads as the following:
"The couples go on their last dates before the big day. A discussion about faith leaves one person worrying: Is love blind if your values aren't aligned?"
Love is Blind cast member Ben reflects on his connection with Sara
During his confessional interview, the Love is Blind star opened up about his strong bond with Sara. He praised Sara and mentioned how she is a kind, empathetic individual. He said these were the qualities he was looking for in a potential partner. Ben admitted that they had their differences when it comes to their outlook towards faith. He shared how he felt about Sara now that their wedding day was just around the corner, Ben said:
"Thinking of today as the start of the rest of Sara and I's lives together, it's exciting. She is just the most amazing person with how she cares to people, is so kind, just easy going, you know, loving on everyone that needs it. There's not anyone else in this world that can make me feel the way she does by just existing."
He continued explaining that they both had conversations regarding religion and having separate takes on societal issues and connection with the church. The Love is Blind star shared he was positive that their different values wouldn't cause hurdles in the future but would help them navigate their relationship better. Ben stated:
"I feel like that's not going to be a hurdle for our relationship moving forward."
Later in the episode, Sara told the cameras she felt comfortable having honest communication with Ben on topics linked to religion, faith, and society. Sara was satisfied that they both could communicate effectively. While concluding the conversation she said:
"I feel like he heard me and he understood why I felt the way I did. That's the type of love that I have always wanted."
