This unexpected cameo was the result of a bet between Willis and his The Whole Nine Yards co-star, Matthew Perry. Perry was sure about the film's success while Willis was sceptical. So Perry put on the bet— if the film succeeds, he will appear as a guest star in Friends, and eventually the film emerges as a box office success.
