The most awaited finale of The Challenge 40 finally made it to the small screen this Wednesday, Jan 08, 2025, and it surely did give reasons to talk about. After counting the counts till 4:30 am and taking part in yet another checkpoint, sleep-deprived, the host of the show, TJ announced not two but three winners. Jenny, Rachel, and Jordan all made it to the finishing line with flying colors. Jordan takes home a total of $400,000, while the two ladies had to share $475,000.

A series that began back in 1998 finally wrapped up its 40th season on MTV. The season started with 40 contenders going through daily challenges and intense elimination. By the end of the final elimination, where Cara Maria was sent home, eight finalists entered a two-part finale. The final participants went through a swimming, an overnight, and a speed math challenge before the winners were announced.

The big win of three contestants of The Challenge left fans divided. While some were "satisfied" with the results, others found it forced.

A Reddit user wrote, "Yep they both annoyed me and it’s brutal that Michelle was a karma vote away from winning"

"Rachel’s a fake feminist who needs to humble herself and Jenny is honestly just annoying. I would’ve rather seen Michelle win, especially after the tough season with eliminations she dealt with," a fan of The Challenge commented.

"I used to like Jenny from her first two seasons but she annoyed me greatly this season. And I was initially excited for Rachel, but as the season wore on, my opinion soured," a comment on Reddit read.

"Rachel came across as incredibly fake. Hope to never see her again. Jenny is a beast but annoying. I agree with OP. If they both never come back, I'll be happy," another frustrated user wrote.

A comment on Reddit posted, "Rachael and Jenny are 2 mean girls and I was shocked when TJ spoke. I was never a huge Michelle fan but this was seriously messed up. If I never see or hear Jenny again, that’s fine with me."
