Erin is blindsided when she learns that Henry, her grandfather, has agreed to testify in favor of a defense attorney in a harassment case while she works as the prosecutor. Henry usually doesn’t support defense attorneys, but in this case, he is backing a former cop with a bad reputation.

Erin is upset because he did not tell her about his decision beforehand. She gets into an argument with him, calling him an ‘old fool.’ However, Erin is once again surprised when Henry changes his stance in the court.

After the heated argument with Erin, he decides to back down and calls out the former cop’s actions in court. This helps Erin, as she can now escape the case without affecting her relationship with Henry.

Frank mediates between the mayor and the fire commissioner

Frank Reagan faces a big challenge in the episode as he is caught in a fight between Mayor Chase and the new Fire Commissioner of NYC, Veronica Radley. The trouble starts when the mayor skips a firefighter’s funeral to attend a rally for migrants.

The firefighter died in a shelter fire that was overcrowded, and many blamed the migrants for unsafe conditions. Radley, angry at the mayor for not showing respect, criticizes him in public. This leads to a standoff, so Frank tries to step in to mediate things between the two.

However, his efforts only make things worse. Both Radley and Chase feel like he is siding with the other. Ultimately, the mayor considers firing Radley, and Frank can only remind them to act like adults. The episode ends with no resolution, leaving Frank worried.

While Erin and Frank deal with their issues, Detectives Danny and Baez investigate a chilling discovery at a storage facility in Blue Bloods season 14 episode 13. A man had purchased a storage unit, expecting to find something valuable, but instead, he finds a decomposed skeleton.

The body is too far gone to identify with fingerprints, and the DNA doesn’t match anything in the system. After further investigation, Danny and Baez identified the victim as Beverly Chase, who was stalked by a man named Grady Simms.

Grady, who has brain damage from a past accident, does not fully understand his actions. However, as they dig deeper, Danny and Baez discover that Grady is not the killer. His mother, Marie, had been killing the women who got too close to Grady, believing she was protecting him.

Marie had been disposing of the bodies in storage units. Danny and Baez find two more bodies linked to the case, and Marie is arrested for the murders. At the same time, Grady is taken into the care of Child Protection Services.

Blue Bloods season 14 airs new episodes on CBS on Fridays at 10 pm ET/PT.
