Big Brother UK is all set to make a comeback for another season in 2024, and it will premiere on October 6, 2024, at 9 pm on ITV2 and ITVX. The ITV Studios announced the return of the show early this year and released a teaser on July 26, 2024. The show's comeback was initially announced during the 2024 live finale of Love Island, and it also disclosed the brand new eye logo along with its return on ITV for the second time.
The cast of the show has not been revealed yet and the audiences have to wait for Big Brother: Live Launch to witness the new batch of houseguests who will compete in this reality TV game show to win a whopping cash prize. ITV released the promo of the new season on February 13, 2024. The official synopsis of the promo reads:
"Big Brother: Live Launch will see a new batch of housemates from all walks of life take up residence in a revamped Big Brother house, which has been given a fresh lick of paint ahead of the new series. Once again, the public plays a crucial role, voting throughout the series and ultimately determining the winner, who will walk away with a life changing cash prize. Who wins? You decide."
Who will host Big Brother UK 2024?
AJ Odudu and Will Best will return to host Big Brother UK 2024. Both former hosts are known for their exceptional careers as TV presenters and celebrities. Together they have hosted the Celebrity version of the show as well. With the show announcement, the hosts were announced too, and the two were featured in the promo video where they were peeking at the guinea pigs, who were spread all over a dummy Big Brother house.
As per the format, the hosts will divide the procedures of the show, as they need to get involved in many things, from hosting to talking to the houseguests and presenting the live evictions. AJ Odudu and Will Best shared their favourite moments from Big Brother history with What to Watch, a day ago. Will best said:
"David’s Dead”. It had it all. It was hilarious, dramatic, tragic, poignant…all in one rollercoaster reality TV episode."
AJ Odudu continued and added her opinion by saying:
"My favourite moment of all time is the legendary housemate Nikki Grahame’s iconic outbursts; God rest her soul. She gave us unforgettable diary room moments like ‘Who is she?’ and ‘the mountain of cornflakes’. It doesn’t get more iconic than that."
ITV launched a new trailer for Big Brother UK 2024 on September 13
ITV launched the new trailer on September 13, 2024. The trailer introduced the audience to the presenters of the show and had guinea pigs roaming around the house, making themselves comfortable and finding a way. As the trailer moved forward, the camera panned towards the hosts of the show, who were observing the moves of these guinea pigs from afar.
Along with the trailer, it was also announced that the reality TV show will revive its live streaming on all seven days of the week so that audiences can follow the close details and not miss out on the extra drama.
Big Brother UK 2024 is scheduled to air on October 6, 2024, on ITV2 and ITVX at 9 pm.
