Dr. Suzzana Parker and team battle to save fire victims: Berlin ER Season 1 Episode 8

The episode begins with Dr. Suzzana Parker getting ready for her duty as Ben calls her and informs her that he's not feeling quite okay. When Dr. Suzzana reaches the hospital, she gets a 'Berlin Disaster' notification on her phone about a fire at a Neukolin paper waste factory. As ambulances rush towards the hospital with the injured, Dr. Suzzana is aware of the upcoming chaos that will occur in the ER.

On the fire site, Dr. Dom helps Cynthia, an injured victim, and her friend Naomi. He rushes to the underground Venti club to help the injured ones. Meanwhile, in the ER, Dr. Suzzana takes the lead, due to the overwhelming number of patients she instructs,

"May I have your attention please! All who are capable of walking alone, please go through this door in the waiting area. Do not run. We will treat you as soon as possible."

She further instructs nurse Maya Lee and the other staff to tag each patient according to their injury: green for minor, yellow for head injury and open fractures, and red for serious patients with breathing issues and active bleeding. Meanwhile, she asks Dr. Beck to take care of a pregnant patient.

On the collapse site, the rescuers/police officers orders Dr. Dom to leave the site, but he continues to search for missing people. Dr. Ben Weber reaches the hospital and urges Dr. Suzzana for some morphine, as he was feeling helpless in his home and wanted to help out. Dr. Suzanna hands him a multiple ribs fracture case, and they take the patient to the trauma room for treatment. Dr. Ben successfully operates an emergency laparotomy and performs a cardiac massage to help the multiple rib fracture patient.

What happened to Dr.Dom in Berlin ER Season 1 Episode 8?

On the fire site, Dr. Dom stays with an injured patient as the fire starts to engulf them. He performs an emergency CPR on the victim after he stops breathing and shouts for help. On the other hand, Emina refuses to treat a police officer called Alex and has a small argument with Olivia. Later, she apologizes to Olivia for her insensitive behavior, and they share an emotional moment.

Olivia reaches the accident site with the paramedics team and asks for Dr. Dom. She frantically searches for Dr. Dom, and when she finally finds him, a huge chunk of the ceiling falls on him, smashing him down. Olivia breaks down and cries for help and says,

"Dom, I will call someone for help, ok? Stay where you are"

Meanwhile, Dr. Suzanna Parker gives a small media briefing after the senator requests her. She thanks her hardworking and selfless ER team. She also addresses the fact that they are understaffed and, as a result, overworked. Suzanna also mentions the outdated equipment that decreases their efficiency. She bravely states,

"We need more resources, and that's not just the case here at the KRANK, not just in Berlin but everywhere."

The senator announces the sale of KRANK to a leading health enterprise, Care Pulse Equity, headed by Dr. Steffen Beck. This shocks Dr. Suzzana as the senator clarifies her decision that it would be for the betterment for the people of Berlin.

The next morning, Dr. Suzzane tells Dr. Ben that the medics have confirmed Dr. Doms's death. They share their grief over a bottle of beer. Dr. Suzzana asks Dr. Ben to seek help and go to a drug rehabilitation centre. She remains positive of Dr. Ben's return to the ER as she utters,

"Give me a holler when you are clean"
