Virgin River fans were excited to see protagonist Mel get married to Jack in Season 6, while keenly awaiting an update on Brady and Brie's relationship. In Season 5, while Brie was dating Mike, Brady was in a relationship with Lark.
Nobody can deny Brady and Brie still have feelings for each other, and the two did find their way back to each other — rather Jack's pool table — in the latest season.
This season Benjamin Hollingsworth's Brady was back to his old ways, lying to his current girlfriend Lark about his feelings for Brie. The actor has revealed to Glamour in an interview that he was not particularly happy with the chain of events and how his character ended up in the finale.

Why was Benjamin Hollingsworth 'let down' when he read the Brady-Lark scene in Virgin River Season 6?
While Season 5 set up the stage for Brady and Lark's breakup, with the latter looking suspicious, the way it was played out was not satisfactory for the actor and most of his fans. After confessing his undying love for Brie, which his current girlfriend Lark overhears, Brady seems to lie when the latter confronts him.
Undoubtedly, Brady continues to harbor emotions for Brie, and it was obvious Lark would eventually con and rob, but Hollingsworth was let down when he read that Brady did not come clean to Lark despite promising that he'd be honest now.
Hollingsworth has opened up with Entertainment Weekly, on how Brady should have dealt with Lark after confessing his feelings for Brie,
"He should've stopped dancing with her and said, 'Listen, I need to talk to you. I realized tonight that you'll always be second in line. I still have feelings of Brie. I had an affair with Brie. You don't really deserve me, and if you want to move on, I totally understand.' That is the proper response."
He added,
"Because he is falling back into his old ways and the real standup thing to do would've been what I said. I don't think he necessarily deserves that someone steal all his money, but I can see where Lark is upset."
In an ideal world that would have been the proper response, but then, would it help create the sort of drama that fans of Virgin River want to see?
What is in store for Brady's future in Virgin River?
Showrunner Patrick Smith talks about Lark's betrayal saying she was always going to con Brady, but a part of her wanted to willingly do this only after she felt betrayed on hearing him confess his love for Brie because she feels betrayed. Smith said,
"When she overhears the conversation, her emotional reaction and heartbreak to that is what motivated a lot of what ended up happening by the end of the season."
Lark's character may be morally gray, but Hollingsworth thinks if Brady had been honest with her about Brie, she would not have robbed him. She would have broken up and disappeared as she did but not taken his money with her.
Lark robbed Brady largely out of spite and out of heartbreak. As for Brady, while he was trying to build a relationship with Lark and be a father to her daughter, Hazel, it was only because Brie wanted him to be all these things. He was being a man Brie wanted him to be, while building his relationship with Lark.
As far as Brady's future goes, once he is left in a financial mess following Lark's exit, his plans to start a mechanic shop for motorcycles is thwarted. It will take some time for life to be normal again.
Meanwhile, showrunner Smith teased in an interview with Entertainment Weekly that Bert might help Brady pick up the pieces in Virgin River,
"Maybe Bert handles the trucks and Brady will take care of the motorcycle[s]. That'll be the understanding."
