Below Deck Down Under Season 3 has unveiled the journey of Katina into the waters of Seychelles. Captain Jason Chambers returns along with the head Chef, Tzarina Mace-Ralph, and Deckhand Harry Van Vilet. However, the rest of the crew has undergone an overhaul along with a few changes in Season 3.

With keeping the vibe of Season 3 intact, Captain Jason announced that the new chart would be "dramatic, wet, and emotional." The new crew would add to the group dynamics as the show progresses.

Katina, the franchise's "largest vessel," will be the new yacht. Captain Jason, along with newbies Bosun Wihan Du Toit, Chief Stew Lara Rigby, Stew Brianna Duffield and Marina Marcondes, Deckhands Adair Werley and Johnny Arvanitis, and Sous-Chef Anthony Bird, will be in charge of it.

Here is the official synopsis of Below Deck Down Under Season 3, Premier episode:

"Capt. Jason embarks across the waters of the Seychelles with almost an entirely new crew on the motor yacht Katina; Chef Tzarina and Lara are reunited and tensions quickly surface; Tzarina faces an infestation of weevils."

Tension and weevils infestation make the first charter of Katina distressful

Below Deck Down Under has made a comeback on Bravo with the super vessel Katina and a fresh crew navigating their work and personal dynamics.

Captain Jason Chambers has put together a team, but the premiere suggests that the crew will have to overcome their egos and attitudes to cater to the guests' needs smoothly. Chief Chef Tzarina and Sous-Chef Anthony Bird clashed in the very first episode, giving viewers a hint of drama that will follow their dynamics throughout the season.

While Tzarina wanted to dive into strengths and weaknesses of Anthony, he instead gave some "red flag" replies to his superior. She warned Anthony with clear instructions and said:

"I don’t do egos. If it ever happens … get out.”

Elsewhere in the episode, Bosun Wihan Du Toit gathered his deckhand to discuss the plans for their first charter. However, his head deckhand, Johnny, intervened and asserted his work experience.

12 hours before their first charter, Tzarina encountered a weevil and maggot infestation, which led to deep cleaning and throwing away a lot of grains and food items.

Mark, an Australian investor, along with his partners served as the first guests. He had particular food choices, which came as a test for Tzarina. Other crew members tried to mingle while navigating the work at hand.

However, on day one of the charter, Anthony claimed he was being micromanaged. On the other hand, Wihan did not declare Johnny the lead deckhand, leaving him quite upset. As the day rolled on, each crew member tried to cancel out their differences and worked as a team to have a successful first charter.

As the episode neared its end, Johnny realized that running a successful day on Below Deck Down Under would require team effort as Wihan and Harry saved him when he left the yacht. After a successful day, the crew went to bed.

Below Deck Down Under Season 3 premiered on Bravo on February 3, 2025.
