Tyler Perry's Beauty in Black, a new series, was released on Netflix on October 24. Beauty in Black Part 2 will follow, completing this 16-episode series.
Perry's deal with Netflix has led to some successful projects on the platform. A Jazzman’s Blues, A Madea Homecoming, A Fall from Grace, Mea Culpa, and Beauty in Black, are all part of a diverse range of experimental projects on the platform.

The show follows two women with different life trajectories who become entangled when their worlds collide. The story focuses on Kimmie, a stripper, and Mallory, a businessman, and how the two women become involved in each other's lives after a heady collision.
It is set in Atlanta, and according to Perry, brings together the best of both worlds, a collision that nobody can imagine, even in their wildest dreams.
Who is in the cast of Beauty in Black Part 2?
The cast for the show was announced in April 2024. While there are many new faces, viewers will recognize many familiar faces from Perry's other projects on Netflix.

How did Beauty in Black Part 1 end?
Kimmie is a stripper who struggles when her mother kicks her out, and Mallory runs a business. The show also focuses on a wealthy Black family with a hair care business dynasty.
As typical of Perry's show design, part 1 of the show ends with a major cliffhanger. As apparent from the ending, Kimmie will take charge of her life. After Body kidnaps Kimmie's sister, she rails a car right into Body, trapping her in a motel parking lot between two bumpers.
Perry revealed how he is very excited for the audience to see the ending of Part 1, which he calls 'mad fun'. He adds, “I want people talking about it around the water cooler, and on [social media], and trending, and just loving it.”
Beauty in Black Part 2: Release date and what to expect
While the show premiered part 1 in its entirety on October 24, 2024, there is no official date for Beauty in Black Part 2. It is reported that the show will return with part 2 sometime in Spring 2025.
Since part 1 ended on a major cliffhanger, Beauty in Black Part 2 is expected to pick up right where it left off. While Perry didn't hint at any possible plot lines for the show,
“I don’t think anybody’s going to be able to figure out where it’s going and how that rise of power happens with Kimmie...how does she get into power?’'
