The eigth chapter highlighted Player 831 aka Jeffrey Randall Allen (Jeff) who become emotional and burst into tears when he came across his wife and son, Jack (the elder one) on the show.
The whole situation resulted in a big revelation from Jeff where he mentioned that he has to win Beast Games for the prize money and use if for his research to find a cure to a rare brain condition his younger son Lucas suffers from. This disease, called Creatine Transporter Deficiency, does not allow the brain sufficient energy to function like a normal human being, as explained by Jeff on Beast Games.
What is Creatine Transport Deficiency explained on Beast Games?
On Episode 8 of Beast Games, Player 831 Jeffrey Randall Allen opened up about his son Lucas' 'rare' brain condition, Creatine Transport Deficiency. Jeff further mentioned that the disease is "currently incurable" in the medical field. His exact words were:
"It's a rare brain disease that's currently incurable and his brain doesn't get the energy it needs to function and develop. So, he's not like your everyday seven-year-old. You know, developmentally, he's probably under two. It's just a devastating disease."
Jeff also added that he wants to find the cure not only for his son but probably hundreds of other individuals upon whom this deadly disease has been inflicted. Viewers also learn that Jeff's older son Jack introduced him to the show and made him watch Mr. Beast's YouTube videos. As mentioned by Jeff on Beast Games, Jack was the reason he was there and the latter has been a 'coach' to him all the while.
The episode further came with multiple emotional layers—one of them being Player 947 aka Yesenia Hernandez Jaime's statement. Jamie mentioned that though she was definitely aiming for the $5 million prize money but deep inside she wanted Jeffrey to get it for his son Lucas. However, there were twists all throughout the episode and Jeff was able to bag only $7272 out of the $1 million bank as Episode 8 concluded.

Out of these 10, only 6 would make their way to win the $5 million after the tower climbing challenge round. The game involved players alloting numbered houses to each other without having any knowledge of what actually the numbers signified. There was a cash pot stuffed with $1 million and the order in which the contestants got the houses would determine how much they would want to pick from the bank.
Jeff, who drew 6, hoped that the participants preceeding him would not be insensitive enough to take away a lot of money—given his situation that he mentioned earlier. However, things went the other way and Jeff's luck left him only $22,000 which came down to around 7 grand after the calculations. It was later revealed that Player 566 aka JC took a major amount from the cast pot.
