The latest episode of Beast Games aired on January 30, 2025, on Prime Video. In this episode, the top 10 players had a special surprise waiting for them; their family members were invited to Beast City for an emotional reunion.
One of the most touching moments came from Player 831, Jeffrey Randall Allen. He met his wife and older son, Jack, and couldn’t hold back his tears as he hugged them. Like many contestants, Allen joined the show hoping to win, but for him, it wasn’t just about the money; it was about saving his younger son, Lucas.
Jeffrey Allen’s purpose
While some contestants applied for Beast Games without expecting to be selected, Jeffrey Allen had a clear mission. His 7-year-old son, Lucas, was diagnosed with a rare brain disorder called Creatine Transporter Deficiency (CTD) when he was just two years old.
CTD affects the brain’s ability to use creatine, an important compound for energy and development. It impacts speech, cognitive abilities, and motor function. Right now, there is no FDA-approved treatment for this disease, and only 150 cases have been reported worldwide.
During a personal vlog filmed between episodes, Allen shared his reason for joining the show:
"I’m here for my son. If I win, I’ll use the money to help find a cure for CTD. He is my purpose."
He also posted an emotional tribute on Instagram, dedicated to Lucas:
“Lucas, my son, my heart, you are my reason. Your strength inspires me every day. CTD may be rare, but my hope isn’t. Sharing your story with the world was my ultimate goal. Maybe it will help other families like ours.”
Allen hopes that by winning the $5 million prize, he can fund research, develop treatments, and support other families affected by CTD.
With only six contestants left, Allen now has a 1 in 6 chance of taking home the grand prize. The final episode of Beast Games airs on Thursday, February 13, on Prime Video. Fans will soon find out if his dream of helping Lucas and many others will become a reality.
