Beast Games episode 8 recap - Twana makes her decision and the cast meets their family

Beast Games episode 8 aired on January 30, 2025, on Amazon Prime Video. It continued with the cliffhanger from the last episode where Twana was about to choose between two tracks.

The episode showed a trolley problem where the teams would select one captain. This player would then be presented with a choice to save either of the two players standing on the yellow and red track.

Soon after this elimination on Beast Games, there were only 10 players left to compete and win the $5 million prize money. Twana was visibly confused about the whole ordeal of elimination and did not want Jazmine, her friend, to go.

However, Deano had picked her to be safe himself. On the other side, we saw Queen and JC. Twana ultimately decided to not pull the lever. That meant Jazmine and Deano were eliminated. The captain was very upset and said that her friend was caught in the "crossfire" and was supposed to go.

Beast Games Episode 8 Recap - 10 players return to Beast City for an emotional reunion

The players are taken back to Beast City where they are provided their own houses to stay in. This is a new change now that only 10 players are left in the competition. Mr. Beast soon invited them all for a gathering and revealed that he had a surprise for them.

He had noticed earlier that the cast was missing their family and thus, he decided to bring their close ones onto the set. Everyone spent time with their family and discussed what would it mean for them to ultimately win the prize at the end. After the connections had been sent home, Jimmy introduced the next round of the activity on Beast Games.

He brought the players' attention to a giant black box that was in the middle of the ten houses they were about to stay in. Jimmy asked them to vote for a captain they think is trustworthy enough. Explaining the rules of the game, he said,

"And I need you guys to all vote for who will receive the key to house number one. And then that person will choose who gets the key that says number two, and so on and so on. Choose who you think is trustworthy."

The group voted for Twana on Beast Games episode 8. She then selected the second house's resident and finally, all the homes had a contestant. Mr. Beast revealed that the big black box contained $1 million.

Twana would have the first pick, as she has house number 1, and could decide any amount of money to take away from the pie. She took $100,000 hoping that the rest of the cast would also divide the money equally amongst themselves.

However, Michael took away $223,000 while JC took $650,000 from the fund. This left only a small amount for the remaining contestants who later criticized their actions.

The final twist of the episode was then revealed by Jimmy. He told the players that they would have a chance to vote off four out of ten players from the group. The money activity was a coy so that the group could judge and make their decisions.

However, people who had taken the money were given a chance to bribe the other players to buy out their votes. The episode ended on a cliffhanger where we saw various participants note that they would be safe. However, JC and Michael were shocked and felt like they might be voted off.
