Beast Games Episode 7 Recap - The trolley problem comes to life

Beast Games episode 7 was released on Amazon Prime Video on January 23, 2025, and brought the trolley problem to life. The games tested the ethics of the players and were an attempt to see whether they would choose the money or other players.

At the start of the episode, we saw the challenge resume where it was left off last time. The physical challenge had a 40-foot dead hang and this could decide the fate of the Pink and Orange teams. At the end of it, the Orange Team emerged victorious and this meant, eight players would go to the next round.

The challenge for episode 7 began after that. The contestants were secretly taken to a railyard and soon the problems unfolded itself. It was a twist on the classic Trolley problem that we studied as kids. Mr. Beast, while explaining the new challenge to the players, said,

"Quite often, throughout this challenge, you've heard me say the word brutal. But this game we are about to play, is going to redefine the word brutal. By the end of this next game, we will be down to the top ten contestants."

Beast Games Episode 7 recap - The real-life trolley problem

With only 21 players remaining on the show, Beast Games episode 7 had plans to cut down 11 more and bring the count to 10 players only. These 10 players would move forward to the finals.

The games began with Akira, player 539, being elected as the captain. This gave him the power to select the contestants that he disliked among the players. He chose Mia, player 952, Rikeyah, player 626, and Monece, player 182. Mia pointed out that Akira had only chosen Black women out of the whole group.

Akira was now presented with, what fans called "an easy choice." He could save a yellow Lamborghini or the three players he had selected. He sent the three home and won the luxury car for himself. However, Mia was not pleased and said,

"What you sow, you reap."

Beast Games Episode 7 recap - The second trolley problem

The trolley problem continued but this time, there was a Tesla on the line. The players did not know this but the car had $100,000 hidden inside of it. Akira was again elected as the captain and was asked to choose between the Tesla plus three players.

They were, Jessica, player 907, Eric, player 990, Johnel, player 351. On the other side of the track, Mr. Beast had placed Akira's ally Colton, player 359. Ultimately, Akira chose his ally over the three players and a Tesla.

After it was revealed that there was hidden cash inside the Tesla, Akira still defended his choice by claiming Colton was more important to him.

The new captain was chosen to be Bethany, player 865, for the third trolley problem. She placed Colton and Akira on the yellow track and in a twist of fate, herself on the red one.

By the end of the round, she ended up eliminating herself, Akira, and Colton. This made the rest of the players realize how emotionally challenging Beast Games could be.

Beast Games Episode 7 Recap - The last trolley problem

The last trolley problem had Twana, player 830 as its captain. She chose Queen, player 817, and Deano, player 380, to be on the opposing tracks. However, due to a twist, these two contestants on the tracks were asked to add one more player with them to the chopping block.

Deano picked Jazmine, player 697, while Queen picked JC, player 566.

The episode ended with a cliffhanger and we will only know who was eliminated in Beast Games episode 8.
