Now that we have our contestants for the next round of Beast Games, fans are waiting for the tenth episode with bated breath, which will serve as the finale. They will be competing to win the prize money of $5 million, which is considered one of reality shows' largest single prizes. The series began streaming on Prime Video on December 19, 2024, and it is set to conclude on February 13, 2025.

As seen in the previous episode, 4 contestants ended their journey in Beast Games. Hosted by MrBeast, The budget of the show is reportedly over $100 million.

Where is Beast Games filmed?

In the show, some contestants have to compete on a private island and a "town" surrounded by a moat. The island is referred to as "Beast Island", and the "town" is called Beast City. The location of the island hasn't been acknowledged in the nine episodes of Beast Games that have been released on Prime Video. However, a Decider report revealed its whereabouts.

The location of Beast Island is La Vivienda Island/Isla La Vivienda, one of 200+ Pearl Islands in Panama, which is approximately 30 miles south of the mainland. The uninhabited island is surrounded by pristine blue waters. Located nearby are neighboring islands Malaga and Bayoneta. However, the cabana and bungalows were built by the makers of the reality series.

Apart from the island, the series is also filmed in another location referred to as the "Beast City," which in reality is a miniature town or city. Filming for this location occurred at Toronto's Downsview Park Studios. The "Beast City" miniature was created at Downsview Park, just past the end of the Downsview Airport runway. A noticeable feature of this location is the rectangular moat surrounding it.

In the show, the aerial view of Beast City shows the town surrounded by a rectangular moat. While the moat looks real, in reality, there is no water body surrounding the miniature town. It is added using special effects during post-production.

What is the show about?

In this series, a lot of players have to navigate through exhausting challenges, both physical and mental to reach the finale and win the show. Those who win the games will be given the ultimate reward: a cash prize of $5 million. To become a multi-millionaire, players will be tested socially and mentally to be in the game. The synopsis for the series reads:

"From the groundbreaking mind of MrBeast comes a new, record-breaking competition series. A staggering 1,000 contestants compete in nail-biting, physical, mental, and social challenges, for a chance to win a whopping $5 million dollar cash prize. Will there be future seasons?

While there's no official update on future seasons of the show, Beast Games creator and host Jimmy Donaldson gave some hope to viewers regarding future seasons. Donaldson appeared on The Colin and Samir Show on January 29, 2025. On that show, he expressed his certainty that the second season would be under development. This was his exact quote:

“I was told not to talk about it, but the thing is I loved what we did with Beast Games. I’m doing it. I loved working with Prime Video so I’m sure we’re going to do it with them. There’s no way where I’m not.”
