Shark Tank investor Barbara Ann Corcoran has spent more than four decades crafting a value, name, and identity for herself. Beginning her career by navigating through twenty-plus odd jobs, Barbara is now a successful businesswoman, television personality, and a real estate mogul.

As one of the investors who has graced the chair of the business reality TV show since its inception, Barbara looks for a quality called 'salesmanship' in the founders when they present their pitches. During an interview with Lewis Howes around three years ago, the Corcoran Group founder opened up about who, according to her, can be a great salesperson.

According to Shark Tank's Barbara, a person who is "positive" and has the art of being "outgoing" will naturally assume the role of a great salesperson. Adding to this, Barbara mentioned that besides this there is something "intrinsic" about a few people as if they are bound to grow and become a successful salesperson.

She remarked:

"I am telling you, they come out of the gate maybe not out of the womb but they come out of the adolescent gate as salespeople. It's very hard to teach that. It's an artistic gift to be able to sell really well."

Shark Tank mentor Barbara Corcoran joined Lewis Howes during an interview and shared her views on how to become a great salesperson. Describing it as a naturally occurring talent besides hard work, she further gave the example of current US President Donald Trump and how he is one of the greatest salespersons she has met so far.

Lewis Howes posted The interview on YouTube on March 15, 2021. In the interview, Barbara called Trump an "unbelievable salesman" and when Lewis asked her, "What was it that made him so great?" this is what she said:

"He can read the vulnerability of people. You walk into the room he could see what's wrong with you. He could just feel and know accurately what's wrong with you and how he's going to use that to get his way."

Barbara then revealed that when Trump was in his late twenties, they both worked together as they were in the same industry. For the unversed, Trump holds great experience as a real estate mogul himself, working in the capacity of President at his family-owned conglomerate, the Trump Organization. Barbara further added:

"He could sell anyone anything. I would witness it again and again firsthand in his office, in meetings uh unbelievable salesman."
