Focusing on a set of wealthy guests and resort staff at an exclusive vacation destination, The White Lotus has returned on HBO with season 3. The series creator, Mike White, aims to offer a closer look at the hidden insecurities, psychological complexities, and power dynamics in a luxury setting.
The show debuted in 2021 and gained popularity for introducing engaging characters, storylines, and visual appeal. Following an anthology format, each season of The White Lotus has a self-contained story, which brings new cast and characters, narrative, and, most importantly, a new resort location.
However, since Greg Hunt returned from the previous seasons, many might wonder if all three seasons are connected. The answer: The White Lotus seasons aren't entirely connected, but it has a few storylines like that of Greg, which require continuation in more than one chapter.

Does Greg's return in The White Lotus Season 3 possibly connect all three seasons?

Since the release of The White Lotus Season 3, the HBO TV series has been making headlines for various reasons. Be it casting BlackPink's Lisa or Patrick Schwarzenegger's nude scene in the premiere, the show continues to entertain fans.
However, the return of Jon Gries as Greg (now Gary) from the first and second chapters has fans wondering about the link between all seasons. As mentioned earlier, each season isn't a continuation of the previous one, but season 3 did bring back Greg to possibly give closure to his story.
As seen in the season 3 premiere, Greg made a surprising appearance at the resort's bar, and witnessing his return, fans would immediately think of an unresolved plot from previous seasons: The death of Tanya McQuoid (Jennifer Coolidge).
Another returning character, Belinda Lindsey, has been curious about Tanya's shocking demise. She still believes that Greg, who's now living under the alias Gary in Thailand, orchestrated Tanya's murder and made it look like a suicide.
As seen in season 3 episode 3, Belinda confronts Gary knowing that he's Greg, but the man denies it outright. While she's shocked by Greg's response, Belinda won't stop searching for answers.
Now that Greg's in Thailand, Belinda is expected to continue finding answers for Tanya's death in season 3. As seen in the previous seasons, Greg worked with a gay man named Quentin, possibly his love interest.
It's likely possible that the two joined forces to eliminate Tanya and inherit her vast fortune. Since the third season is currently ongoing, fans can expect to see more of Greg, aka Gary in Thailand.
Jennifer Coolidge's reaction to Jon Gries reprising his role in The White Lotus Season 3

Following Jon Gries's return in The White Lotus Season 3, his former co-star Jennifer Coolidge (Tanya) wants his character to face karma. While talking about the actor's surprising return, Coolidge told Forbes:
"Jon Gries has shown up. I hope he gets it! I hope they do something terrible to him."
Even though Tanya is no longer in the story, Jennifer Coolidge has been watching the third chapter and thinks something dark and eerie is taking place. The actress mentioned:
"I just felt like everything he set up – it’s really eerie – you’re not quite sure what people are up to yet. My guess? Something’s going to go horribly wrong. I think it’s really going to go wrong."
